Attempted to rent a car. Price was very good and not refundable.
When I tried to submit the final payment, I received an "oops...something happened...please try back later" message. Not wanting to lose my deal, I did try back but could not get back into the site. I tried a different site and reserved the same car, with the same rental company, for a higher price. Shortly after completing that transaction, I received a rental confirmation from Priceline - showing the duplicate reservation and amount charged.
I immediately called them and asked them to cancel the reservation and refund the amount. They told me they would need to investigate and would follow up in 1 day (which changed to 3 days in the middle of my service chat). I never heard back. I followed up more than a week later and they said they will not refund the charge.
How can they still be in business?
WARNING - Do not provide them with ANY personal or financial information as it's clear that they have no problem using it for inappropriate gain. I won't be using them again EVER.
