I had used Priceline before and needed to reserve a room at the Mariott Courtyard, Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Fl. As I arrived at the hotel the agent behind the counter asked why I had used Priceline as the rate would have been $105.00 dollars cheaper if I had made the reservations directly with the hotel.
When I got home I called Priceline to complain and was told by the customer service lady that I should have checked the hotel prices myself ahead of time and she offered no apologies or monitary compensation.
I have written a letter to the president of Priceline, which I am sure will go unread, telling him that the whole concept of his company is to help consumers save money not to be screwed by his company. I will never use them again and will tell everyone I can not to use them either.
Monetary Loss: $105.
