Priceline - Scam-dishonest advertising
On June 6, 2019 I booked a 3 star pet friendly Casino hotel in Winchester, Va. using Priceline Express Deals.
When I arrived at the Hotel ( Holiday inn) the front desk clerk informed me that the hotel was not pet friendly and it did not have a casino.
As a matter of fact Winchester, Va does not have Casinos at all.
The Front desk person let us check on with our dog. After telling me he wasn’t going to cancel our reservation. I called Priceline customer service when I got to my room. I told representative the information about the Hotel was incorrect.
He called the hotel and verified that I was correct. I was then told the issue would be fixed.
The next morning I checked the Priceline app expecting the listing for the casino hotel to be changed to reflect the correct information. It was not changed so I contacted Priceline using the Chat app. I may have lost service but Priceline sent me an e-mail asking me to call.
I declined, I was already lied to once on the phone. I stated I wanted to communicate in writing.
I then contacted Priceline useing the Twitter DM. In the end I revived a $25.97 for inconvenience. The Priceline representative also told me the information will be corrected.
As of 1500 EST, 8 June 19 the listing for 3 stars and 2 star casino hotels in a town that does not have a casino are still there.
It does appear Priceline removed the PetFrindly information but still lists one of the amenities as casino. So Priceline was able to remove that but apparently not the Huge lie : 3- Star Casino hotel.
It’s disgusting that that Priceline feels they can get away with using false advertising to lure customers to hotels that do not have the listed amenities .
Then the attempt to give customers $25 or whatever amount to shut that person up. What’s $25 when you can make $128 every time someone reserve these rooms.

Same thing just happened to me, and also was a Holiday Inn in Columbus, OH. Advertised as Casino Hotel...
