Resolved: Still waiting for refund since July

Almost got the runaround again for the 4th time until I threatened to go to the local news outlet. Seems to have gotten the ball rolling.

Hotel canceled before I arrived

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I don't want to be charged; the hotel canceled before I arrived. I need to make sure I'm not charged anything because they never canceled it with Priceline.

They only told me when I showed up.

Now I'm out a room and money after taking a Lyft for $30 all the way there. Then I was stuck at the hotel with no way to get to another.

On March 25 I booked a hotel in Bastrop. TX for $211, after taxes abd fees, for two queen beds using the express deal service.

Within the hour I discovered both the hotel and priceline were selling the exact same room for 142.30 after taxes and fees if purchased without using the express deal service.

The express deal service is advertised as a cost saving tool to get a random hotel room. I was under the impression I was getting a savings. Instead I paid nearly $70 more for using the express deal service. This is false advertising and fraud.

I made 3 calls to customer service.

Priceline refused to refund the difference since the room was made on express deals. They also refused to refund the difference since I was not a vip member at the time of booking and did not qualify for the price match service.

My remedy is the get priceline to honor the price they are advertising and refund the difference.

Poor service

Updated by user Sep 27, 2024

There was no experience. Pissed Customer supposedly contacted Priceline on my behalf, but I never heard anything from anyone

Original review Sep 23, 2024
The Double Tree Inn in Bloomington was a dump. The front desk help was rude, the climate control in the rooms didn't work, the room had an intense odor of dirty feet, the TV cut in and out, there was exactly one guest laundry washing machine and one laundry drying machine for the entire hotel.

I believe there were 16 stories on one side and 22 stories on the other. I estimate there were about, let's just call it, 40 rooms per story per sidethat's approximately 1,520 rooms. If half of the rooms had just one occupant, that would be 760 people to use one washing machine and one dryer. $4.00 for a soda is ridiculous.

The place is literally a complete dump. The building needs a serious engineering inspection also.
Furthermore, there were issues with our stay at another hotel the night before. Priceline service ruined our trip completely while costing us far more money than it was supposed to, not to mention the hours of pointless time spent on the phone with customer service trying to resolve the problem completely unsuccessfully.

Really, the service provided is probably illegal. I feel like I was robbed.

Had A Stroke w/trip insurance and was declined STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE AND UNITED

I was told to send this document, that document, we cant read it, give us 7 to 10 business days, etc with over 31 calls.

Now they are still declining my claim after telling me it was approved previously on July 10.

Please listen to us because their is a reason why they have a 1.3 overall review out of 5.

Priceline - There is no way to get p person on the phone ever. Not only has one option....

I was charged with twice on my card, I tried several different numbers getting same bot response with no option to talk to representative. Then not hung up.

After a few days I just went ahead and filed a fraud claim. The hotel recommended was in a very unsafe area. The person that set this up knew.

I was traveling alone with grandkidsIt was far from any attractions. The hotel staff were helpful but the hotel in need of much update !

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Was much better system when you could speak to a live person when you called. Trying to use a credit and no one that answered could help, last guy name was ardo he gave me a new number to call and said it was sales and they could help.

I explained to him they transferred me to him and he hung up. Companies need to bring call centers back to the USA

If I could give them zero stars, I would. This company feels like a scam, especially in partnership with Xcover, which sells questionable warranties for bookings.

There are many better options available. Save your time and money, and avoid purchasing from them.

Payed for 4 tickets in full through you to fly via Frontier in May. Flight was moved to 12 hours later with no notification.

Frontier says it's your fault and to contact you. You say to contact Frontier. Your AI *** is worthless. We have a wedding to attend, but will miss it.

Someone is to blame but each of you is blaming the other. Totally frustrated. Thinking this is a scam. If I don't get a response, I will report you to the Better Business Bureau.

Frontier wants $150 more a ticket to get us to make the wedding in time. This is not acceptable. You are messing with people's life's without any consideration or compassion.

Lacking any customer service. Get it together.

They scammed me

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Priceline charged my credit card 306$, while not sending me any information. I cancelled the transaction, but was still charged.

I had no trip I'd, it didn't recognize my numbers, they just simply stole 306$ from me.

No real person works there, and you can talk to nothing but a computerized person.

Disgraceful

Flight/hotel package

To Whom It May Concern,

Unbeknownst to me, up until I reached the airline Cust. Serv.

desk (at the boarding time that my itinerary/ confirmation said), I was unaware Id have a huge issue. I was told that I had already missed my flight although I arrived before departure and at the boarding time of 4:25 am. The Frontier rep. said that I needed to have been there a couple hrs.

or at least an hour prior to boarding time & to book the next flight I needed to pay $13x.xx via card for the next flight to Orlando, Fl. I was unable to do so & told him that as well & I was trying to figure something out but the rep told me I needed to step aside. I proceeded through the hectic/crowded area towards the door in order to contact Price Line via phone. Since Wed., 7/31 at approx.

4:35 am or so, I've called, online chatted etc. with Price Line & Frontier Reps as well as I contacted the Maingate Lakeside Resort hotel immediately after being turned away to let them know of the issue I had & that I wouldnt be able to follow through with the reservation. Initially, I was denied refund for the hotel booking fee via the Priceline customer service line. However, a couple calls later another rep at Priceline contacted the hotel & confirmed that the hotel rep had canceled on their end and I was refunded the hotel fee.

Unfortunately, my requests to Price Line for refund of the cost of the round-trip flights/fees have been unsuccessful & also a Frontier rep.

initially told me upon me being referred to contact Frontier, that I have to contact the 3rd party that I booked with for a refund. I now know & understand the protocol after being turned away at Frontier but, I humbly request refund because for whatever reason, human error or such. I was not informed verbally or electronically prior to the package I was assisted with booking being confirmed, that there is an expectation of arrival to the airline of an hour or more in advance. I dont agree with what the Priceline rep told me It's the customers responsibility to know...

because, it's not common knowledge for a first timer...

I didnt know or have a compelling reason to think to ask anything further after booking because I was told I was all set. I just ask that you consider everything that I have conveyed in this letter and please honor my request.
