Priceline - No update on cancellation and itinerary number doesnt exist.

Update by user Mar 12

I love how when I call their phone system they tell me my phone number and itinerary doesn't exist but clearly the system still has it on file if their virtual agent can identify it.

Update by user Mar 12

Instead of leaving me on hold they transferred me to the hotel representative when they were suppose to be the one who talked to them. They clearly don't know what they are doing.

Hell no. March 11, 2020 another case of Covid19 was found in Las Vegas so I called Priceline to cancel and get my money back but they kept giving excuses of why they couldn't get through to the hotel or the hotel doesn't have my email address? Why does that matter if I have the reservation number? Anyways they said I would be put in high priority for my issue to be dealt with and I feel completely scammed because I called MGM Grand and turns out they still are expecting me and Priceline has not given me any kind of update and I can't even get through because my itinerary number is no longer valid. I am expecting a full refund from Priceline considering that the hotel allows bookings before April 30, 2020 to receive their money back if they choose to cancel.

I booked hotel, car and flight through Priceline. What a mistake. I called to try and change a connection because I booked the tickets for my 85 year old father and my 80 year old Mother with Parkinson’s Disease to go home for the last time. However, when I tried to...

Priceline Vacation Package Booking Review from Fort Riley, Kansas

Booked a vacation through Priceline. Flight was canceled due to weather. Priceline customer service was of no help to change flights and tried to charge me an extra $200 because I was changing the return date since the departure date was moved to the next day. I wanted a short 2 day vacation with my daughter. I had to change the flight through the airline and I had to change the dates of the hotel. Priceline was horrible. After 6 phone calls, the only solution offered was a refund. All I wanted was a change in dates since my flight was canceled entirely. I will never book a vacation using their services.

Priceline reps are horrible liars I booked a hotel and flight a mos ahead of time great hotel good price 2 weeks later I found out I could not go on the trip and spoke to a rep who advised that I would only be refu ded part of the hotel and could use the plan trip at a later date. At the time decided to still but go but ws pointless so I called I with the previous understanding the rep I spoke told me that none of the hotel cost would be refunded and then proceeded to transfer to another deparment for over an hour

We recently booked a vacation package through Priceline: Hotel, Airline, and Rental Car. You see the price for the package and you think it is a wonderful deal…. Well, THINK AGAIN! there are many many many (did I say “many”?) small hidden fees and other extra charges that are not even disclosure while booking. Unfortunately, you will find out about the extra charges the hard way after you have already paid/booked the deal. Although our package said “all taxes and fees included”, we ended up paying more at the end of our vacation than if we would have booked everything separately and with the companies directly. The airline charged extra for some fees (not the bags, just to clarify) they said Priceline does not cover. The hotel charged us an extra 28% “service fee” per day that they also said Priceline does not cover. And finally, Priceline charged 4 days of rental car just because the drop-off time was booked 15 MINUTES after pick up time (pick up time was scheduled for 2pm and drop-off was scheduled for 2:15pm). The Rental car company (Avis) has a policy of 1 hour break or they charge for the extra hour after it (NOT THE ENTIRE DAY). We dropped the car at 2:03 pm and Avis gave us a receipt confirming the deal was a 3-days rental car… BUT Priceline did not want to make any refund for the extra day they charged for 15 minutes (even though Avis allows an extra hour at drop-off AND we returned the car at 2:03pm AND charges in Avis are per extra hour and not per day). None of the companies involved in the package will help you to solve any issues if the deal is booked through Priceline. They pretty much wash their hands and send you back to call Priceline. Customer service at Priceline is extremely poor. Representatives barely speak English and all they say is “no refunds”. Make sure you research before booking with PRICELINE, it is not a good deal after all.

Don't ever use Priceline!

This is the second and last time that we used Priceline to book a vacation. Both times we have been royally screwed over. Most recently we booked a trip and 3 days later they changed our flight to a different time that was less convenient and also less money. They refused to give us the difference back on the flights and tried to claim that our original flight never existed so that's why it was changed. If it never existed why make it as an option on your website?!? They keep saying there is nothing they can do about it except charge us more money to make any changes. They also don't let you make any requests with your hotels. We tried to request a nonsmoking room but they won't do it even though the hotel says that we have to go through Priceline. The whole experience has been an unending nightmare dealing with them. I will never use them again and recommend that others save themselves a hassle and not use them either.

Priceline is the worst!!!!

So, being a satisfied consumer with travel sites, I figured that priceline was no different. I made a mistake by booking a hotel instead of a vacation package, and needed to cancel the reservation for the correct booking. Well, for a day and a half, I was on the phone with priceline and the hotel. Finally, my outcome was a cancellation of the reservation by paying almost $60 to the hotel. Mind you, my reservation was made for 3 months in advanced. Priceline told me that the hotel was charging a one night stay fee, but I truly believe the funds are going straight to priceline. I have never experienced such a hassle for cancelling a hotel room. I learned my lesson, and it has cost me almost $60, but I'm seriously considering disputing the room charge with my credit card co.

Priceline - Have purchased vacation package with travel insuranse and can't cancel due to hurracaine!!!

I purchased vacation package to go to Cancun, Mexico on October 28 of 2011. It is the same time the Yucatan Peninsula is about to get hit with hurricane Rina. Since I have travel insurance I was not to concern about it because I knew I have the option to cancel my trip in case of hurricane. Just called Priceline and been told unless my Carrier is going to cancel the flight I can't cancel my vacation without huge penalties. But I do have a travel insurance??? Well I just found out the hard way if you booked your vacation trough Priceline and even you purchased the travel insurance it is absolutely worthless as well as all Priceline. Priceline is a scam organization. I warned everybody DO NOT HAVE BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! Doesn't matter how cheap the price is in case if something goes wrong you are not protected. BE WARE OF IT!!! DO NOT DO THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. I Learned it the hard way.
