Priceline: Travel Insurance RIPOFF

Priceline: I have always paid for their "Insurance" just in case I had something some up. I have not had to use the "insurance" before over several trips. We expect a major storm in on the East Coast. I neither can nor risk the drive. Today is Friday two days before I am expected to arrive at the Hotel on Sunday night. I called Priceline, was on hold, and on hold repeatedly. They "called the hotel" to see if the hotel would be willing to issue a refund. The hotel did not so Priceline would not honor their "insurance" My contract is with Priceline, my insurance is the insurance I secured from the Priceline web site. My insurance is with priceline. I really do not care if the hotel will give Priceline a refund, My contract my insurance is with Priceline ---- Priceline refused to honor their insurance. It feels like fraud --- I pay for insurance that Priceline refused to honor – not to speak of the total rocks they hire for "customer service"

Booked a nice condo in park city Utah 1bed1bath Fire place garage nice pics on line. Got a glorified dirty dorm room that was outdated in 1980 6 miles from the address on my reservation.

I'm told that the condo I booked is not one of theirs. Nothing they can do sorry. I can cancel and pay a fee. Or I can pay double the price for something camparable to what I booked on line.

3 hours on the phone with priceline and nothing but pay more. This was not even a name your price. I bought the deal the listed in a condo complex that I was fimiler with. And got a "dorm" room 6 miles away.

Something's not right at Priceline. What a rip off

Priceline Horrible

Priceline is not accurate with their location. I booked a hotel requesting Downtown Seattle.I got a hotel at the border of the shaded area. The location of this hotel Silver Cloud Hotel Stadium - Pike Place is not downtown and is 1.5 miles from Pike Place. I felt cheated. I called Priceline Customer Service and they are unwilling to do anything about it after I spent my time holding and was transfered to a more senior person. Senior person could not do anything either. I am travelling with elderly parents and priceline still did not care. Bottomline, this is misleading and the unwillingness to help make it worse. I was offered 50 for future purchase with priceline after I spent 700 for 5 nights

I disagree with the comment below. Priceline tells their customers purchases are non-refundable and can not be changed and offer no help or solution.

They are ok with admitting that all of your money has been lost.

I just lost $1300 of a vacation package because they sold me the wrong destination. Before confirming, the website mentioned the airline and times would be shown after confirming only to find out they chose a destination 2 states away from where I requested. They refused to change/cancel/fix the error and stayed mute to my complaints.

They said it was my error because they did show details of the flight before I initialed and confirmed. This is a lie, as I was with my husband reading everything and confirming the purchase.

This company is not servicing their customers correctly and because of the way they handled me and the stress and loss of money I went through, I will not recommend it to anyone.

I live in Seattle. You have to do you OWN research as to Priceline's boundaries BEFORE doing the priceline process.

Sounds like you didn't, and while that hotel isn't 500 ft from the market, it IS downtown... technically. If it was so important to you that you take care of an elderly person, you shouldn't have been so concerned about getting a great deal.

Sorry... I think this is on you.

Priceline = No Customer service!!

I wish I would have found this website before wasting my time with Priceline. For my four year old birthday we are celebrating it at Sea World. I normally use expedia, but I thought I would give Priceline a try, BIG MISTAKE!! What I asked for was a room with 2 beds for myself, my husband, and my 2 girls. I wanted it within 20 miles of sea world. What I got was some dingy old 1950's resort in the middle of nowhere, more than an hours drive from Sea World. They only had a king size bed and nowhere for my daughters to sleep. To add insult to injury the hotel charged an additional $30.00 for "resort fees" that were non refundable. When I got the hotel reservation from priceline I immediately called them and asked what was going on. I spoke with Chris #825245 Who told me I had selected an area that I had not selected. I asked him why he was accusing me of lying and all he would do is repeat that there is nothing they can do after the reservation is made. He said he had "no idea" why the resort was charging extra money despite the fact that every person they sent there had reported a complaint about it. Bottom line is they refused any help and, took my money and basically told me they didn't care if my daughter slept on the floor. Buyer beware!!

Price line- name your own price is a big deceit! | Priceline in Mountain View, California

My husband and I used priceline "name your own price " system. We read the rules and offered $140 for a resort in Scottsdale AZ, after we preformed a search in the website ( looked for resort in Scottsdale, got a list of 5 placed that are available in the dates we asked. 4 resorts cost more than $250 and 1 cost $114.) We offered $140 in order to get one of the 4 resorts which cost more than $250. We were shocked to see that we got the resort which its price on the website was $114. we didn't understood how can it be that they are promising up to 60% discount in "name your own price" and that I am paying $140 for a resort costs $114. We called them and said it's a deceit since you don't suppose to get hotel that its price is lower than your offer, but they just don't care and after speaking with 1 representative and customer relationship nothing was done. They kept saying that you can't cancel a deal that was done in "name your own price". None of the representative understood our complaint and that it's not reasonable that you get hotel which is cheaper than your offer. They cheat us and now we are paying $530 after tax and commissions (such a theft) for hotel which is worth much less than the price we are paying. The second thing is that they have the rule that if you find a cheaper deal they will refund you. We learned that you have only one opportunity to get a refund if you find a cheaper deal. and when we said that on their website the hotel costs $114, she said they will check our eligibility for refund, but than we said you can find it even cheaper in other websites and were told "sorry, there is only one chance to get refund and you used yours". We said that we told them about the $114 as a reference to the price we paid and not as the lowest price, but kept hearing "you have only one chance for getting refund". They are liars and cheaters!!! I would like to emphasis, that before making this deal, I cold priceline help line and asked if I am using "name your own price" and giving an amount which is higher than amounts that several hotel offer, does it mean that I will get only the one that there price is above my offer. The representative told us that he can't answer the question and that we'll read the rules in the website. We did read the rules and there was nothing specific about our question beside the fact that they are saying you can get up to 60% discount in "name your own price". The reasonable sense is that you are not suppose to get hotel which is cheaper than your offer. We would have never try this system if we new this is the case. They are not clear about how the system works and they are cheating people

Of course the one that is the cheapest is going to accept! They send the price to all the hotels in that star rating in this case all the resorts and then they can accept or deny. Of course the one that is lower is going to accept you can't out trick them by putting a higher price trying to get a better place.

I secured a reservation through Priceline for the first of June, 2008, at a hotel in Arlington Texas. When we arrived on the day of our reservation, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and so we were moved to another hotel down the street. I paid for a 3...
