I booked the hotel well in advance for a celebration of our 29th anniversary. Priceline charged me $335.00 for two rooms for one night.
Much to my dismay when we checked in, the hotel rate was $119 per room per night. I immediately called Priceline and they said they were sorry but to they could not do a thing. Their ad clearly says they will beat the price but when I brought that to their attention I got "I'm sorry but......", and then lines and lines of how they just can't match the price of the hotel.
If I were thinking about using Priceline, I would seriously look into using another provider. If a company will not stand behind their main gloat, you could get robbed more than the $98.00 I lost.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $98.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
I didn't like: Price match, Did not receive refund, Priceline business practices, Condescending attitude, Bad business practices and poor customer service.
