Kind but not helpful
My husband and I used Priceline to purchase our American airline tickets in the month of May,
But unfortunately we had cancellations and delays and the seats we paid for we didn't end up getting because they canceled and rescheduled our flight. We paid almost $200 in seat fees and after our many back and forth correspondences with American they referred us to call Priceline to get issued a refund, after calling Priceline, the rep said to call American again, so after another email with American they again have said they can't issue a refund, and only the agency we used to purchase the tickets/seats can do that.
We are truly exhausted with this back and forth and just want a refund for the seats we were unable to use on May 9th because of a flight cancellation. Please direct us to the right outlet to get a resolution.
- Easy booking
- Questionable customer service regarding flight issues
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't use American airlines, be wary of Priceline regarding refund issues

Verified ReviewerPoor customer service and no recourse for bad venue
We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Spartanburg, SC. I assumed that Priceline stood behind their vetted properties, not so!
The room was filthy, and the bathroom sink did not drain. The toilet seat was skewed and did not sit on the base, so one had to sit to the side to use the commode. The towels were damp, and it was unclear if they were washed. The carpet had not been vacuumed, the tub mat was torn and stained, and the tiles in the bathroom were stained.
Rust was everywhere! There were no vacancies and no place for us to change to, even though in the morning they said we could have asked for another room. Priceline only told us that if the property owners refunded us, we could get any money back at all. As compensation, Priceline offered us 15%.
This is a travesty. I wanted either a full refund or a voucher. I will never use Priceline again, ever! They have no customer service.
We will also not ever stay at the Comfort Inn in Spartanburg, SC again.
AND Comfort Inn LIED they only told us we could've asked for a different room AS WE WERE CHECKING OUT not the night we checked in--they said they had "no vacancies"!! The whole thing was nightmare!!
- Easy to use website
- No service after the sale
- Not being able to contact contracted hotels
- Not considerate of senior citizens
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Do not use Priceline and do not trust that they have vetted their properties

We booked a family trip to DR. 2 adults and 2 children.
Booked family suite with 2 adjoining rooms. Have flights for all 4 people. Then we find out the reservation is only for 2 adults, and we have to pay extra for the kids. At no point we were informed the reservation was for 2 only.
Now the hotel wants an arm and a leg to add them. I am confused as how they were not on hotel reservation as we have flights for them and a double room. They are scamming people with low prices and don't include everything.
First and last time I ever use Priceline. Stay away from them.
Preferred solution: CORRET THE RESERVATION TO INCLUDE MY KIDS
User's recommendation: DO NOT USE THEM, STAY AWAY !!!!!!!

Verified Reviewer | Denver, ColoradoHorrible customer service
On September 20th 2024 thru Sept 22 2024 I was supposed to check into the Extended stay America In Englewood co. I was unable to check in on the 20th so I proceeded to the go check in on 21st and as I approached the property I noticed a guy standing out front as if he were waiting for something.
As I walked up further I noticed a note on the door that read be back in 30 min. He then said he's been waiting over an hour. I sat and waited with him. Couple hours passed he left i continued to wait.
After 5 hours of waiting I came to realize nobody's gonna come. The front desk guy walked out on his job.
I never got to check in and they had the audacity to mark me as a no show the next day. I'm extremely pissed off about the whole situation
User's recommendation: Probably get more American people who both can speak and understand the English language things would go much smother and positive outcomes
Prices on flight
I called to get a price match.I was lied to as to the price of the flight on United. It is almost two hundred dollars cheaper on Uniteds website.
But was told it was over five hundred dollars and the website right now $197. Two weeks ago I ended up sleeping in a hospital lobby because Double Tree said the had never received my reservation

Verified ReviewerProblem with reaching a representative who could resolve a car rental issue
I made a car reservation through Priceline. I did not receive a reservation number or email, and it turned out that I had made a mistake with the email spelling.
This was not Priceline's fault. What was very aggravating is that I tried to call customer service and could not get through to a human. The service kept passing me on to the car company who had no record of my reservation and passed me back to Priceline, and so, it continued. Despite the fact that my credit card had been charged for the rental.
Pissedcustomer.com broke that cycle. Through them, I was finally able to get through to Priceline and to speak to a human who resolved my issue very quickly and efficiently.
Preferred solution: Better service in the future
User's recommendation: If tou can't reach a customer representative and are caught in a loop contact Pissedcustomer.com

Verified Reviewer | Fort Lauderdale, FloridaTravel packages not clear and added difficulties
Went to travel to Ghana. The travel packages, especially room payment, which i was led by Priceline to be paid; was not.
Not mentioned clearly that I had to transfer from Laguardia to Kennedy airport in New York which costs 60 $ each way. If I had less of a layover I would have missed my connections. Really bad . Awful changes on supposed relaxing vacation.
Just added unneeded stress. 1697.00 basically a r/t economy flight, which costs 100s more when on trip.
User's recommendation: Dont use Priceline or find out every single detail before you pay.

Verified ReviewerBad experience with Priceline
I stayed at The Chicago SouthLoop Hotel through Priceline from the 21st to the 22nd of June. It was horrible from the beginning.
Upon arrival, customer service told me she had been the only worker all night. I got in my room and the T.V. didn't work. The elevators were down; I called reception from 10:30 p.m.
to 6:00 a.m. No answer! I was at the end of three long halls, so it was a long walk to get there. I went down to the desk and she was right there, just not answering the phone.
She told me there was nothing she could do about my T.V. not working. I paid $534.00 and everything they said online was a lie. I called Priceline who told me my next purchase through them would be 20% off.
I stayed in this room like that until new workers at the hotel came in concerned. They did change my room, which was more than Priceline would do for me. The only reason I purchased another room through Priceline on a different day was to get the 20% off. However, this didn't happen.
As soon as I paid, the reservation came to my email with the wrong day and city. I called Priceline 5 minutes later. They told me I couldn't get my money back and if I didn't show in a city I didn't choose, I would be marked as a no call, no show. I was at that time on the train heading home.
They told me I had agreed to the terms. I told them I did for the date and city I wanted to be in, not Lockport, a place I'm unfamiliar with. I told them I had a screenshot with the right date and right city. They didn't care.
So, I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me this nonsense about calling me tomorrow to let me know if they could refund me. That told me I wasn't getting my money back. I usually use hotel.com and never had any problems with them. I only used Priceline because they were cheaper, which was a big mistake!
This company is horrible and doesn't care about their customers.
I will never use them again! I am out of money and they don't seem to care!
- Talk friendly
- Tell lies
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't waste your money with Priceline, they lie to their customers and care about them.

Verified ReviewerRefund
I booked a hotel through Agoda and was surprised to find out about a $100 deposit I wasn't informed about. I was unable to check in because I didn't have the necessary $100.
The girl at the desk instructed me to contact Agoda, explaining that they should call the hotel as I was unable to check in due to my financial situation. I attempted to contact Agoda from outside the hotel, but was repeatedly hung up on. So, I messaged them, providing all the details. When I called them the next day, the process proved difficult.
I still haven't received a refund and the issue remains unresolved. I called the hotel back and was told to ask them for my refund, and that I should also contact Priceline who would handle the situation. However, I was unable to get in touch with Priceline as I hadn't made my booking through them, and since I don't have a trip number or phone number, they also hung up on me. All I want is my refund.
Before booking, I even tried calling the hotel but no one answered the phone. If the hotel doesn't answer, book somewhere else.

Verified BuyerPriceline works with fraudulent companies
I booked the triple package via Priceline. The flight and hotel were no problem.
They booked my rental car through a company called Green Nothing. The company made me buy $100 for insurance since I did not have my own, and made me leave a $100 deposit. When I returned the car, only $30 of my deposit was returned. The company then started ducking me, sending my calls to voicemail.
I reached out to Priceline and they pretty much told me they'll reach out to them and see what can be done. In 10 days.
- Cheaper option sometimes
- Horrible customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerCant get a Human Rep anywhere!
My credit card was hacked and Priceline allowed someone to book a hotel stay through them. I called to deal with this in hope of ruining the hacker's vacation, but you can't get a hold of a human on any of the 20 numbers listed! Shameful!
Preferred solution: A call back from a Human.

Verified ReviewerPriceline related fraud
FRAUD.
- I booked car rental on Priceline, but want to make a change to called the number for National on the Priceline website.
- The Priceline website said I should speak to Priceline not them, and gave a number of what he said was Priceline service (1.833.***.****.which I now see is one digit different (perhaps a personal line?) of the main Priceline service number)
- I called that number and the person indicated it was Priceline and could help, however 30 seconds into the call they hung up and immediately called back from a different number 1.254.***.**** (which iPhone identifies as Spam) claiming we were cut off.
- He has some of the booking details but to 'verify' asks for lots of personal details that would have been on the reservation (name, address, date of birth, phone etc) and asks for a new credit card to charge a $100 cancellation fee. I gave it but then became suspicious and hung up
- we got an immediate fraud alert from MasterCard that there was fraud on this transaction
So in conclusion - despite using the numbers given by Priceline there is fraud taking place - I assume it must be either a nefarious Enterprise agent giving a fraudster phone number as Priceline or by a Priceline agent switching lines to their outbound number
I have contacted Priceline but no response in over a week expecting an urgent response and exploration, but have had neither. Alerting others so you don't have the same fraud.
- Generally a good service for discounted car rental
- Risk of fraud
- Non responsive to fraud risk
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Beware of the risk of fraud
