I bought a round trip airline ticket from Priceline earlier today, and I did a little research for the lowest price, but wasn't too worried because they advertised their "Lowest Price Guarantee" which would refund me the difference if I found a cheaper price after my purchase. In an after thought, after I purchased my tickets through Priceline, I figured I'd check the airlines website to see how much I saved.
To my dismay, I find out that the airline charged $100 less than Priceline for same exact trip on same exact flights. When I contacted Priceline to get my "Lowest Price Guarantee", it turned out that the particular airline I booked on is not part of the guarantee... go figure. I guess I should have done a little more research before buying, but it sure seems scammy to me.
Priceline used to be a good deal 10-15 years ago, but seems like those days are gone. I won't make that mistake again!
