Beware of Name Your Own Price and Poor Customer Service | Priceline review

Be sure to read screens and offerings carefully. Amenities are not guaranteed when using 'Name you own price' tool. Free breakfast and free internet on one screen may not be shown in the next, what they refer to as contract. Contacted Customer Service. I offered to take a different location. Even pay more. Reservation can NOT be changed or canceled. Escalated to Customer Relations. Same outcome after one hour of waiting on hold. They offered the mailing address to file a complaint. It was suggested that I make another reservation. When asked what would happen to the original one, customer relations representative replied nonchalantly , "You will lose it and the money". What you see is not what you get. Beware.

Website Fraud | Priceline review

The website will only let you order six tickets at a time. I needed 8 so I had to do two orders. The price was 363.59 per ticket for the first order. Within seconds I ordered the next ticket the price was suppose to be 363.59 They charged my credit card 429.59. After speaking with customer service (who was rude) she said there was nothing they could do even though each ticket had the same offer id numbers. I had never used Priceline...my BIG mistake. Never again. Please go elsewhere...I wish I had read these reviews.

I do believe that airlines also only allow 6 tickets at a time. Changes in fare fluctuate constantly, practically every minute.

Go online to any airline website and see.

Priceline does not make the airfare prices. If the price has been less would have paid the difference???

I BID ON 2 1/2 HOTEL ROOM. IS IN SMALL TOWN OF MARIETTA OHIO. ONLY HAS HAND FULL OF HOTELS. ZERO OVER A THREE STAR. AFTER FEW SECONDS AFTER MY BID ON PROCELINE. GREAT NEWS WE UPGRADED YOU TO A THREE STAR???? THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH. THE THREE HOTELS IN MARIETTA THAT ARE 2 1/2 ARE HAMPTON,FAIRFIELD AND WINGGATE. TELL ME OUT OF THE BLUE DOES PRICELINE CHANGE WHAT I BID ON TO A HOLIDAY INN THAT ON THERE SITE IS NOW RATED AT A 3 STAR. TO MAKE THINGS WORSE WE TOLD OUR THREE YEAR OLD SHE WILL GET TO GO SWIMMING THIS WEEKEND. GUESS WHAT THIS HOTELS POOL IS OUTSIDE. THE DATE IS MARCH 16TH WE ARE CHECKING IN NOT SUMMER MONTHS. I just encountered the same problem, both with my hotel reservation and car rental. They can't change a two week reservation by one day without cancelling the whole reservation at a penalty equal to the amount of the entire reservation.

I was encouraging my team (50 field technicians) to use Priceline to save a few dollars for the company, I will not be making that recommendation or using Priceline again. I am only out 1 day on a two week trip but with this type of service I can't imagine what they would be like in case of an emergency cancellation - don't take the chance.

Priceline.com abusive behavior

Rented car thru priceline-National was provider. Car wouldn't start 5 times. Called roadside service. Seems u have to press hard on brake, jiggle wheel and turn key at same time. Ridiculous. National said priceline was responsible-priceline said National was responsible. I'm screwed and furious. Priceline impossible to deal with. National at least had some compassion. Rented another car for March 22 from Priceline. Want to cancel because they are so terrible but they won't let me. So frustrated. Any idea how I can cancel??? They say if younamed your own price you are stuck. I do not know what to do.

Priceline does not own the car rental company, National does. ALL priceline did was your reservation.

Your issue is with National, but I am betting you failed to call them. Am I right?

Bad reservation | Priceline review from Deatsville, Alabama

I tried to make a airline and Hotel Reservation using Priceline. Instead of the reservation I wanted Priceline made an air reservation I did not intend and would not let me change or give me a refund. I attempted to get redress through three levels of Priceline customer service and Executive Services with no one able to make a decision. Be very careful on their web site that they do not make a reservation that you do not intend. If you let their software make an automatic reservation for you NO Warning is given before they commit and you end up with a reservation you did not want. DO NOT LET PRICELINE MAKE A RESERVATION FOR YOU YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET SCREWED!

MISLEAD | Priceline review from Austin, Texas

I needed a car and decided to use Priceline. Before doing it, I called them and asked them if I could use my corporate code as well and they stated to me that "Yes once I booked the reservation, I needed to call back and add the code." Psst, well that was a lie. I am totally pissed and they will not cancel my reservation. I would never rent a car from a place that I cant use my corporate code. I need to get out of this somehow. I am pissed that they lied to me about it. I will never use them again.

Misleading priceline, they should be held accountable

When you go to priceline and push rental, you get options of what kind of car. I pushed convertible and a ford mustang convert shows up, this is what i am bidding on. You put in your info and your bid and then next page they let you know if they except it and then tell you under the ford mustang picture that it could be a similar car. No where on the first page did it say similar. It is misleading and wrong. I bid on a specific car for a special occasion for my husband 50th bday. Was willing to pay 300.more for the week just for the fun of the car. Priceline will not guarantee that car, will not update there site, cause Hertz said that 2 yrs ago those kind of convert are now in an elite category which is not on there site. Totally bogus. I could have rented the ford mustang convert for the same price from many other rental agencies and been guaranteed the car. Learned the hard way but shouldn't have to, Priceline should be clear and upfront and make it right when they have done wrong. Frustrated...

Hotel not on beach | Priceline review from Saginaw, Michigan

booked a hotel at Myrtle beach . Bid on 4 star little did i know the sheraton is the only 4 star place ! So wtf is that . The map stated the hotels were on the beach this is not on the beach . It's a freaking convention center Refused to switch hotels for me I hate this company and will never use them again I suggest u dont either Also who books a reservation for a kid in a convention center I never had this kinda expierance with hotwire or hotels.com Never ever again And their customer service is useless

Priceline changed their name to Booking.com with same horrible service

Evidently, so many people caught on to priceline's poor service that the company had to create a "sister" company named booking.com. The customer service guy just hung up on me!One hotel they offered ended up being a rent a room by the hour! What a disgrace and they would not refund any money. Just beware, that these companies are one of the same.Expedia gives you great service and refunds your money should you run into any problems. They value their customers. If you plan on booking stick with what works and don't be fooled by priceline anymore.

Hooked me up with a dump of a room for a price that sure as *** did not match the room. That was the worst value of a booking that I have had yet.

Yes, I booked a hotel on priceline and arrived at the hotel and they were overbooked. They then sent us an hour away to another hotel that was a dump .. the room smelled of cat *** I was livid.
