Their "no-refunds" policy is just a way to rob people who make honest mistakes. If you made a reservation in error, you should be able to cancel it with no hassle. I made a hotel reservation for the wrong date, realized it within minutes, and when I attempted to change it became aware that the reservation was non-refundable. I then contacted the hotel directly and was told that my card would not be charged for the cancellation. It still was. I disputed it with my credit card company, and it seems they took the side of the hotel. This is just a form of robbery facilitated by the internet.

Priceline offers low prices because of their no-refund policy. That's the who business model.

When you shop with them, you know that policy.

So you realized your mistake after "minutes." What is a reasonable amount of time? Minutes? Hours?

Days?

It's a slippery slope, so they just have a flat "no refund" policy.

Stinky cat urine room - no compensation! | Priceline review from Abilene, Texas

Got to hotel late but had called ahead for a king sized bed. Upon arrival the front desk clerk said he had upgraded me. Told him did not really need upgrading just a king size bed that was in clean room. He smirked and said well I upgraded you. Went to room and it was a two bedroom apartment. It was just my husband and myself so looked around and one bedroom had one double bed and other bedroom had two double beds. Hard to think at this point because the smell of cat urine was so strong it was horrid! I am very allergic to cat urine. There were flies in the rooms and when I pulled the bedding down to take a look the sheets had hair all over them! It was aweful! Called Priceline and stayed on the line with them forever and then said nothing they could do cause hotel was full and so I asked for at the least a refund. No could not do that. We checked out and found the front desk clerk to be really rude and very smarty! So lost money on that room and then went to find another hotel. I have used Priceline for years while traveling all over the United States and out of the country some. This is not going to happen again because if they still will do nothing then I will NEVER use them again! PS Do not use the Allandale Hotel in Austin Texas unless you want an apartment complex with 70 style rooms that allow pets and have the residue to prove it. Really a bad experience!

Never, ever, ever use priceline. I have been a loyal and frequent user for the past year. Most of the bookings were fine. I learned that when you have a problem, you are on your own. Tonight, i arrived at a Hilton booked through priceline and was given a room without a bed. You think i am joking? I am not. They gave me a hospitality suite with a pull out sofa. priceline was willing to call the manager of the hotel the next day to see if the hotel would issue a refund. priceline "customer relations" read the same things off a script but did nothing to solve the problem. The customer relations rep even refused to let me speak to a manager. All the script told her was that i could write a letter to Executive Service in CT and put it in the mail -- seriously, no 800 number; no email address. the only explanation is priceline doesn't care what sort of room you get and if you get a bad one (or, as in my case, one without a bed) you are on your own. Buyer Beware!

Do not honor Price guarantee | Priceline review

Today I contacted price line to receive a price adjustment on my hotel. I was on the phone for 10 mins and disconnected, called again on the phone for 22 mins, disconnect, then on the phone again for 10 mins for the gentleman to tell me that they could not find the deal now. I lost the deal due to the amount of time your customer service rep took to assist me. The gentleman then proceed to tell me that they do not disconnect their calls. I have been a loyal customer with price line for years but after today's service will no longer use your services any longer. Price line does not do their best to honor the lowest price if competitors are lower.

I can top this....jacked me around until we ran out of time getting a $1300.00 refund from LAN....told me with faxes etc. it was in the bag and check was in the mail......same day refund was refused,ticket was resold and I was out the money....nope I won't ever use them again

Car rental | Priceline review

I made a mistake ordering a vehicle for oct 1 2013 to oct 9 2013 it should have bee oct 6 to 12 to go to the senior games in St George Utah I called priceline when I arri9ves at the rental agency no vehicle available no compensation for oct 6 to 9 as the vehicle was gone however I paid for the vehicle fees and taxes therefore I had to rent another vehicle. My question is how can they rent my vehicle twice and still charge me fees and taxes for a vehicle that I never used I feel this is double dipping .

Priceline---*** THIEVES

Needed to be in court on certain date, booked car for a week. The Judge changed the court date to exactly a week later. Called to change date to a week later. This was out of my control. Explained situation to Priceline and they wouldn't budge. Our attorney even offered to send them a fax explaining the fact, and they still wouldn't budge. All I wanted to do is change date, didn't want to cancel. So now they're just going to take my $200.00. I think they're a bunch of *** THIEVES! What do you think of all this? This is just so wrong. Where is the customer service here? What a *** of a way to run a business!!!

This place is the worst. I book a flight and they gave me options at first the you put your initials in the little box "or you can't book the flight" then they switch it up. do not use the company for any flights the are a bait and switch. And the airline said there is nothing they can do about it cause it's price-line. I would not recommend them ever. And with the rental car it was the same thing no i can get thing done at all just *** deal with it. I will never use them again.

Had roaches in my bed and room floor | Priceline review from Key Largo, Florida

I contacted priceline on 10-5 regarding my stay at the Holiday Inn Key Largo location about the roaches. I requested that they give me a full refund for my two night stay of $242.94. They refused. They said they can only grant a refund if the hotel agrees! I would like to see their CEO sleep in a bed with roaches. The hotel offered to exchange the room and forgive half of our money, but refused to refund entire amount. Stay away from priceline and stay away from Holiday Inns. There are better brands out there to do business and not these two.

Crooks!! | Priceline review

I set up a reservation online, and the check-in date didn't allow me the option of modification. However, it is stated that you can make any modifications with the hotel.....but they won't disclose the name of the hotel until AFTER they have taken your money. I paid for the date (today's date), thinking that I could modify the reservation for Sunday (the actual day I needed the room for). WRONG! Not only wouldn't they do it, but the clerk @ the front desk said he wished that people would make their reservations through him instead of them. He suggested he could offer a better deal than the one I received. I called to attempt to change the reservation, which wasn't allowed. I was told that I could cancel, do a different reservation for the correct date, but there would be a $25 charge. ***----the room was only $29! They are a bunch of crooks, and I'm sick of being called "MOM". It's "ma'am", dammit!

So you fail to read what you're agreeing to, make vapid assumptions that you can do whatever you please with the reservation at the last minute, then *** and moan when you're told you can't do it, to the point of posting a complaint online?

The reason the hotel clerk wished you ignorant fools would book with him directly, is you're too *** to do it yourself, and then blame the company when you try to make a change that you didn't agree to in the contract.

You are the WORST kind of customer.
