hotel customer service customer service price room reservation money book refund

Misguided by booking system lead to repeated booking, cannot get refund | Priceline review

I made a reservation of 2nights/2rooms with trip no.xxxxxxxx381. when I need one more room for my friend, I used the function of ‘Add a Room to your stay' from the itinerary Priceline sent to me before, it turn out one order of 2nights/3rooms, the booking page does not indicate as a new order, but when I clicked ‘Buy now’ to submit, it generated as a new order with new trip number. Therefore 2 more rooms to be booked for the both trip orders. I called customer service, they said there was nothing they could do . The extra 2 rooms can be canceled but is non-refundable. I fell horrible because I was absolutely misguided by PRICELINE reservation system, and I do expect PRICELINE can fulfill its commitment for customer satisfaction. To cancel 2 rooms order and get it be refund to me.

Denied boarding pass due to inefficient staffing at American Airlines! | Priceline review from Palm Springs, California

I booked a trip via priceline.com to Nassau flying out of Orlando MCO to Miami and then to Nassau. Hotel accommodations included in the fair. I am quite used to airports but because I live in Florida I have never flown into or out of surrounding cities. What an experience. I am used to Hartsfield-Jackson International and Jacksonville International where I know people, but Orlando is a different animal. I left from Jacksonville and thunderstorms arose from no where covering much of the state and the rain was a pour. Prohibiting fast travel. I got to the airport at 7:30pm and was not so busy no luggage to check, just a few gates, no lines, so I thought I am good right? Wrong! When I got to the counter for American Airlines it was empty. Now this was startling to me because they had planes on the ground and that is just good business. Their kiosk did not work so there was no way to check in or obtain a boarding pass. TSA directs me to the baggage claim for help and no one in baggage claim would contact customer service nor could they help. I contacted customer after 3 hours of dropped calls and long waits for contact with a human voice. Customer service had canceled my flight as a no show and told me that I had to book another flight. There where 2 legs to the flight. So I could see canceling that leg, but to cancel the total flight... are you serious? Priceline informed me that they could do nothing, but they would be keeping my money and that was that. Now me being the person that I am...I call a spade a spade and this was clearly wrong and unjustified. These airline mergers and reduction of service do not serve the public at all. Flights keep increasing while service suffers and consumers are treated with disdain and don't seek avenues for resolution and that provide notice to other consumers. I am delayed on a business opportunity as a result, but I did get smarter as a result of this rendezvous with injustice. I went direct to a counter in Ft. Lauderdale and found that JetBlue and Nassau Air are inexpensive and accommodating. Direct is better then priceline and airlines with increasing deficiencies. I am an advocate for destination countries Airlines and I will fly via their Airline in the future because after all if I am traveling to a country that has their own why not be direct, American businesses in some cases take local consumers for granted. We need to take the time to deliver complaints and avoidance of businesses that have a don't care attitude. I am boycotting American Airlines and Priceline.com pending resolution of the complaints that I have filed against both as promised to there customer service teams. I escalated my concerns, but did not get resolution with their customer service team most of which is outsourced and without teeth to act. This in itself says that companies hire teams to hear concerns and provide no effective remediation via escalation and they have no way to make a consumer whole. I filed complaints with a Consumer Complaints Organization, FAA, Federal and State DOT, FTC, Inspector Generals Office, DOJ and Attorney Generals Office. I plan to issue letters and direct letters to my attorney. File a civil and criminal complaint as well as file a UCC claim against the CEO, President and Operations Officers of both Business as well as the corporate entities themselves on any assets that I can identify. I don't want to engage in litigation, but if you do not make me whole than I will engage and I will not stop until I have resolution.

NonRefundable Hotel Reservation? | Priceline review from Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Booked a room thru PriceLine while searching for a Hotel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, not knowing the area. A family Death forced a change in plans and itinerary; cancel or postpone. Ok, we'll post pone a month. Told by Rep at PriceLine the reservation was not cancellable or changeable. Talked to the hotel (Days Inn) and was told because of the "way" I booked it (i.e., thru PriceLine) it was nonrefundable. Hmmm, Days Inn website (when I finally found the one for the actual hotel) states cancellations are fully refundable. I am calling my Lawyer. Will NOT do business with either company, EVER, again!

I'm really sorry that you've had a death in your family. That being said, when you book a hotel through a place like Priceline and need to make any changes to that reservation, you must go through Priceline - the hotel cannot make stay changes or cancel a reservation.

It's honestly not Days Inn fault that they can't be of more assistance to you in regards to your issue. Hopefully by going back to Priceline, they can work with you to gain a refund for that stay.

Priceline cancellation scam

I bought a 1way ticket for $172. Before I purchased it, I read the fare rules policy. Under cancellation, it clearly stated that a non-refundable ticket could be cancelled before the departure date . Condition was that there would be no refund, but ticket could be used 1 year from purchase. That was the extent of the cancellation policy. On the day before the departure date, I called priceline to cancel the flight. I was told that there would be a $200 + $30 fee for changing the flight. I didn't want to change the flight, but to cancel the flight. The 'customer service' rep would not cancel the flight without charging me the $230 fee. He would not allow me to talk to his manager. I called back and got the same run around. The fare rule was completely deceptive, and thus a scam. Don't use priceline. There are too many other agents.

I made a reservation with Priceline on 07/14/2014 for our stay in Atlanta, GA 07/18... because our daughter was flying out of the Atlanta airport early the next morning.

I've been dealing with Priceline for a few years...and have never had an issue. As the week progressed, I noticed that there wasn't a charge deducted from my bank account. I decided to call the hotel Friday afternoon (7/18) to confirm that I had a reservation for that night...and they informed me that they were booked solid for the next three weeks...and that I in fact DID NOT have a reservation with them. They said that Priceline continually sends them reservations...even though they've informed them they can't honor the reservation..and sometimes are received at the last minute...so they've had to turn several people away...people that were not smart enough to call and confirm.

I'm so glad I did...otherwise I would have been searching for a hotel at 2:00 in the morning in a city I'm unfamiliar with.

I will not be using them again!!!! That could have been a disaster.

Priceline Hotel Address different to own hotel to avoid refunds!

My email to executive.services@production.priceline.com Dear Team of Executives, I am appalled by your customer service and I wish you to be aware of this, before people stop using your services altogether. I booked a hotel via your 'name your price' service and won the bid with an offer for a hotel in Miami Beach of $130 per room. I later checked on the hotel's website and realised that the price they were offering was a lot lower, 40% off your price and even when checking your own Priceline website, the rate offered was much better - $96. Thus I started a "chat" and I was told because the hotel website required a deposit the guarantee did not count. Bizarre given someone asking only for a deposit and a lower overall total is clearly better than you offering for a higher price and upfront payment. The agent stopped replying to my questions, thus I called your customer care number. The first agent informed me that the hotels website was blocked and thus the guarantee did not apply. If you are selling hotels to customers whom websites you block then I am worried for everyone! So I spoke to her manager, Brandon, who accessed the website and but told me the hotel's address on their website did not match the one on priceline and thus the refund was not applicable. At this point I was astonished, how was priceline giving me the wrong address for the hotel. The phone number matches up, the pictures are the same and the hotel name is the same. Thus, you have given me the wrong address unless the hotel has the wrong address on its own website?! Your agent in phillipines did not seem perturbed that I had the wrong address on my booking and that there was no other website that had the same as yours. Lastly, I told him to just give me the difference based on if I had made the booking directly through priceline - i.e. $96 and then he told me that I had the wrong figures and that the amount was even higher on priceline making the difference lesser. I could not believe that I was looking at a web page where I could book the same hotel for lesser than your own representative in real time (Screenshot attached). Maybe the issues of having him sitting in Philippines and using a different system to me? Below I copy the refund he offered me which is a joke given its the wrong amount. I have now spent about 3 hours trying to solve this. I then called up a US number and spoke to Anjie in mexico who at first refused to help but when I threatened to cancel the booking listened to me. She heard my story, called the hotel and told me the address on my priceline receipt was correct and I was looking at the wrong hotel online. I asked her for the web address of the right hotel and she gave me a web address that did not work. I asked her to speak to the hotel about the rate, she refused and basically kept saying I could not get a refund. She mentioned Valentina in the hotel had confirmed priceline was right. I thus called the Hotel myself from the number in my booking confirmation from Priceline. I spoke to Valentina, who a) told me that no-one from Priceline had called her and b) told me that the hotel was the same and because it is a large property both addresses are technically right, but the official address is the non-priceline one as listed on their website. She told me that they have worked with Priceline for many years and she was shocked that this was happening and apologized. I asked her to write me an email confirming this and her manager is going to contact Priceline directly as well. Given I now have confirmation that I am right and have tried ALL angles to try and resolve this with you, I am calling up AMEX to stop the payment. It is sad it has come through this, but you can't honestly think you can sell a hotel for more than your own website, more than the hotel's website and other search engines and throw 1000 reasons to get away with it. Please send me a note of acknowledgement that you have understood and will not make more customers unhappy. Thanks. For reference - Screenshot attached of your website selling it for less than I paid and less than your agent claimed the price was http://www.rivierahotelsouthbeach.com/ - the hotel which the booking is at www.rivierahotelmiamibeach.com - the address your agent told me was correct, which does not work and supposedly Valentina gave her (a lie) Screenshot of travelocity offering it even lower with the right address as per hotel website Below email from your company showing what a joke the whole system is To come - email from hotel confirming its the same hotel

Refused refund in spite of getting insurance | Priceline review from Albuquerque, New Mexico

My daughter and her husband purchased "name your price" hotel for their vacation well in advance. In the meantime, their dog suddenly needs surgery and they had to cancel and thought they would get a refund because they purchased insurance. No, wrong and Priceline refused to even consider a refund. I contacted them (my kids figured it would be hopeless). I couldn't believe they wouldn't reconsider under the circumstances. Wow, was I wrong. Since when is this considered okay, what has happened to customer appreciation? None of our family will every use Priceline again, they clearly couldn't care less about their customers.

We were over charged for a hotel room! Checked into the hotel only to find that the same room was $20.00 more per night!!

Called Priceline and complained but they said there was nothing they could do about it!!!

They promise lower rates and once you pay them they are done with you! Beware!
