hotel customer service customer service price room reservation money book refund

Priceline is just terrible!!

I will never buy from, Priceline.com again. I swear lets all just keep to travel agents. They still care about what they sell, and it is really less expensive. Buy the time you get what you want online, the price changes, or oops need to start over again. Priceline is just terrrible, for the second time, they screwed up my travel details. I am soooooo upset. Please don't buy from them. Take your business elswhere. Travelocity, or Orbitz work better. Stay away from PRICELINE Please......give your money to better companies, we as consumers deserve better choices, and we do have them, lets just use them...

Priceline.com

booked trip to vegas, booked an am flight out of DFW but when I recieved the itenerary we were booked on a pm flight. In a nutshell we loose a whole day of vacation, after the lengthy automated phone *** I finally get someone to try and fix this and they do nothing to try and change the flight to an am flight. Then tell me that the insurance that I bought was not affiliated with them and I would have to contact the insurance agency myself. Well, a claim has to be filed within 30 days of the flight. To change flights from pm to am it was going to cost me 476.00 per person x3!!! This should be against the law!!! I will NEVER EVER book anything with priceline and will tell everyone I every talk to about travel plans to STAY AWAY from priceline, I have owned my own business and word of mouth can be your best advertising or your worst thanks to the teh world wide web...... word of mouth just travels that much faster!!!! I hope priceline goes down like a snowball headed for ***!!!!

I too have been a victim of the infamous Cpt Kirk! I bought the insurance for protection and now I have to try and track down the insurance company and haggle with them to get my money back.

Please, I hope miracles still are out there!

Oh, yes, there was a huge price drop on my flight and I called and wanted an adjustment to my ticket -- no way - the price drop has to take place within the first 24 hours of purchase.

Never will I use priceline again

Maybe you've got a point "CHEAP FLIGHT I BET," but as a former business owner I decided I would run my business with integrity, unlike Priceline. Priceline has ripped off many people to pay Captain Kirk's fees for those adorable commercials.

I am one of the unfortunates. I purchased plane tickets to go to my nephews funeral, but became ill—so sick I was unable to even get into my wheelchair. When I requested a refund they gave me the runaround. I had to submit a "note" from my doctor.

They said it was inadequate and sent a form that my doctor had to comeplete. Still, they refused. I asked could I used the tickets later, to visit his grave. They refused.

I think it was a bit harsh and heartless. I am proud that I ran my business with my customers coming first. I valued and appreciated customers because I wanted them to return. I no longer have the business, because of this illness, but former customers still contact me and ask if I can assist them.

I never heard of any of my clients giving me a bad review—most of my customers came from referrals by clients. Priceline gets dissatisfied customers reviews on sites like this.

Changing vehicle reservation | Priceline review from Richfield, Ohio

I went through priceline.com to reserve a minivan for our family vacation to OBX. However, upon agreeing to the price of $35 per day - I noticed the picture of a CAR, not a minivan, despite specifiying this early on in the reservation process! I contacted the rental company who told me they couldn't do anything ... and then attempted to contact priceline via the phone number they gave. Nothing, couldn't get a live person! So, I sent an email, to which they did respond & basically told me too bad. I actually had to go back into the reservation & pay an additional $27/day to rent the minivan! So now I'm paying $62 a day for a minivan that I could've rented for $50 anywhere else. They gave me no explination, I sent a screen print of the information as I entered it stating I was reserving a MINIVAN - just told me too bad & "DON'T CONTACT THEM ANYMORE"!!!

Priceline steals hotel voucher

I booked a cruise through Priceline.com and one of the bonuses I received was a voucher for a 2 night hotel stay through their \"name your own price\" process. I received the voucher and went through the \"name your own price\" process for a hotel room in NYC. I chose only 4 and 3 1/2 star hotels knowing I would not be able to pick the specific hotel, but wanting to make sure it was decent. I also included trip insurance at an additional cost in case an emergency came up and I needed to cancel my trip (I have a child with chronic health conditions so that could be a possibility). My price was accepted by a hotel and after learning what hotel it was I proceeded to go to the hotel\'s website---Affinia Manhattan. Immediately, I learned that the hotel allowed pets in the hotel rooms and main lobby areas. I am highly allergic to cats and knew I would not be able to stay at that hotel. I called Priceline\'s customer service immediately. They told me to call back in the morning because they would have to contact the hotel\'s reservation department which had already closed. I did call back the next morning and spoke with a customer service representative who told me they would refund all of the money that had been charged to my credit card for the total hotel stay (which was for 3 nights) minus the trip insurance and minus $75 until I provided them with a letter from my doctor stating I had a severe cat allergy and would not be able to stay at that hotel. I did get the letter from my doctor and faxed it to priceline that same day. When I asked them about getting the bonus voucher back to use again (for my husband who has no allergies), they told me \"it had already been used and would not be sent again\". This is the point where I became upset with them. The voucher had not been used and was worth at least $150. No one stayed in NYC. The reservation had been cancelled immediately. I have a medical condition which didn\'t allow me to stay at that hotel and I had trip insurance which gave me the right to cancel the reservation as well. I felt like they were stealing money from me. I also didn\'t agree with them not refunding the trip insurance, but at least I could live with that. I asked to speak to a manager of customer service and was told no one would speak on the phone and I should instead write the VP of Customer Affairs online. I did write her and was hoping someone in that capacity would be much more understanding that they were in the wrong here. But to my surprise and disappointment, they gave me the run around-- told me that the voucher link could only be used one time (I asked them to send a new link or something comparable even-- if they couldn\'t send another voucher), they told me that had been generous in allowing me to cancel -- that\'s not true-- I had trip insurance, a note from a doctor, and nowhere on their website does it say that you may be given a hotel that allows pets - -especially a 4 or 3 1/2 star hotel- or I never would have booked through them in the first place. I told them that this was unacceptable. The voucher was rightfully mine and they should not be taking it away from me. They basically told me that they would not reinstate the voucher and to expect no further response from them regarding this matter. Unbelievable. I have read online other people complaining that their customer service borders on criminal and in this case, they are truly stealing from me.

Priceline is the biggest ripoff! they are stealing from people and getting away with it.

in the age of technology u must hand write a letter to the corporate office and hold ur breath for a response . if ur card was stolen and a ticket was purchased they dont ask for anykind of security questions. they take ur cash and tell u sorry about ur luck.

BEST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!!.... yeah right.

Ripped off for $183 | Priceline review from Wichita, Kansas

Don't I feel ***. If I had just check on-line for Priceline complaints I would never have used them, and I would not be out $183 for an economy car rental instead of the mini van I wanted. I had two bids rejected when I clicked on a Priceline email with a subject of "Try Again". When I clicked on it and it pulled up my date of travel, even the hours of pick up and return, and where I was picking up the vehicle I decided to enter a new price bid. But when my bid was accepted, they gave me an economy car and basically said so sad too bad when I complained. A bunch of crooks!

Revolt against Priceline criminalities.

Warning. Danger. Priceline is crime Please allow me to just say... That the 50 Attorney Generals within the 50 States must immediately become intimately involved with prosecuting the massive white collar felony crimes of Priceline.com Basically it is now a business free-for-all in this country regarding the human-robotic responses to customers, as Priceline.com engages in horrendous day by day theft & fraud of unsuspecting people - attempting to commit honest commerce with this company. I cannot even attempt to explain what this day has been like for me as I spent nearly 5 hours on the phone with both Priceline and an equally shameless United Airlines as a willing partner with Priceline in their unwillingness to allow me to give them more of my money to change my departure times to save a much anticipated milestone trip. Which I foolishly left irresponsibly to Priceline. I vow revenge, based upon the integrities of both character and principle and I am asking everyone who has been phsically, mentally and financially hurt by this disgraceful institution to stand with me and do what you have to do to bring justice back against the people and administration of Priceline. William Shatner, shame on you.

Misrepresentation on web site | Priceline review from Stone Mountain, Georgia

Searching for a hotel on their sight I clicked on a 3 1/2 star hotel choice. Their suggested average price was $248 / n , so I bid $115 based on their advertised price. The price was accepted. I looked up what the room normally rented for and it was not $248, it was $102. They should not advertise false information. I called customer service within minutes but she said once it went into the computer nothing could be done with the charge. The credit card company said that was not true, just that price line chose not to do it. The date was Oct 8, 2008

It's best to check a few websites, when determining how low to bid. Always glance over Expedia, Hotwire, and Priceline- and start bidding at 50?

below the lowest advertised price for star level hotels in your zone.

This way, you won't over-pay! If you want to save money, do some homework first.

The hotel sets their rates on priceline. Priceline will put their rate higher. This is how they make money.

Priceline screws you

I went to Priceline's website thinking there must be something to that b.s. they put out. I wanted to see what hotels were available in a certain area & I ended up with a non-refundable reservation I NEVER made in a hotel I would NEVER stay in. Priceline would do nothing about it & was indignant that anyone would ever complain. I never saw a business where customer satisfaction was not only not encouraged, but condemned. As long as they trick people out of their money they don't care what they do to them. How do they get away with this?
