hotel customer service customer service price room reservation money book refund

Terrible Customer Service | Priceline review from Laurens, South Carolina

I am very disappointed in priceline's service. We booked a 2 star hotel that priceline's website says was a good 2 star family hotel. But it has *** and drug dealers we tried to get a refund to leave the hotel but customer service says there was nothing they could do and we could not get our money back. They told us we had to stay the whole week and too bad for us! That's the last time we go with them! Thankfully the hotel managers realised that customers should be treated with kindness and respect and changed our room for us. It still wasn't what we would have liked, but what else can we do?

Priceline customer service offered little help

I accidentally booked a name your price deal and immediately upon realizing this I called customer service to see if I could cancel the reservation. They said nothing could be done even though I immediately called. I even spoke with a supervisor and explained the situation. All the supervisor provided me with was a mailing address to which I could send a complaint. I even asked what would happen if I stopped payment on my credit card and she said I would be forced to pay either way. To make matters even worse the hotel they claim to 3.5 stars doesn't even come close. I have stayed there before and there rooms are insultingly small. Overall I am very disappointed in my experience and will never use priceline again and I urge everyone else to do the same. Priceline definitely needs to realize that they care in a consumer driven market and with practices like this their business may begin to suffer. You can book the same deals on other discount websites and there customer service is actually there to help you.

Worthless Priceline Insurance

I purchased the optional $5 insurance for my hotel through piceline, and ended up getting the stomach flu and not being able to go. Thinking my insurance would cover it since it's MEDCIAL I didnt think twice about it. HOWEVER since I didnt get treated by a doctor, they denied my claim. Awesome. WORTHLESS INSURANCE! Unless you have a major illness, this is complete ***. I can't believe that with a stomach flu, I had to go to a doctor, which would of cost me $40, and I would of been out that money anyways. Such ***. DON'T BUY IT!!! total scam.

People lie all the time. Jobs require doctors notes.

Schools require doctors notes. Why wouldn't an airline if you are requesting your money back.

Next time, GO TO THE DOCTOR. Otherwise, you have no one to be pissed at but yourself!

WTF, my Aunt is getting sick in the bathroom right now. Very clearly ill.

She is lucky to have bought the Priceline insurance for her flight, Right? NOT, totally useless! Misleading, one operator to another. I've had issues with this co.

before but it was settled out of court.

Now it's happening again. My family of 25+ are done with them.

Hotel prices cheaper than going through priceline

I booked a room through www.Priceline.com and clicked on the NAME YOUR PRICE to supposedly get the cheapest rate available. 2 days later I recieved an email special from the hotel Monte Carlo Resort in Las Vegas. It was $100.00 cheaper to book directly with the hotel. When I called priceline on 11/9/2011 they repeated told me "I'm sorry there is nothing we can do." SOOO, long story short, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! They would not refund the difference. I even asked if they would like me to send them the email I received from the resort and they didn't want to see it. I will never use them again.

yup, eventually Priceline WILL go out of business because it seems the majority of people that use them once will not use them again. Most people don't realize till they check out of the hotel and see their receipt which is LESS MONEY than what they paid priceline.

Lesson learned for me. Never again..

I purchased two rooms through Priceline for $200 for each room. I thought the name your price would give you "the best deal" but that is not the case.

The room could have been booked through Expedia for $111 each. Priceline doesn't care as long as their making money.....

Beware of Priceline....

I booked a room in Corpus on 11.4/2011 Price-line charged me $121.68. I was given a receipt from hotel for $94.92 which is the winter special for this hotel. When I called Price line they told me that is their wholesale amount at which they pay for the room. So beware before you buy from price line...As they are over charging. They tried to send me a $10 bonus money to use for my next purchase. Why would they even think. I would want to buy anything from them again. Be ware don't use priceline.

Just beware | Priceline review from Escondido, California

I'm sharing this to inform new Priceline users. First, the cheap airfare comes with a cost and that is where you are placed in the airplane. I just returned from a trip which I booked through Priceline and all my seats while on the aisle as I requested, were in rows 30 and beyond. One was in the very back of the plain, so just keep in mind you are trading convenience for cost. The other issue involves my car rental. Apparently Priceline doesn't use accurate pictures for the size vehicle you may want to rent, because the vehicle I thought I was going to get wasn't even offered by the company I rented from. Finally, also about the car rental, the daily rate quoted was excellent, $15 per day for a standard size vehicle. As it turned out I turned the vehicle in a few hours earlier than expected and the results my excellent rate was doubled. That wasn't the fault of Priceline, it was the result of a change in my schedule. My point is that since it was pre-paid there was no price adjustment, which is something to keep in mind when using one these third party providers. So ultimately your costs could end up higher in the long run.

Priceline booked at a hotel that didn't answer their phone when I arrived!!

I was left stranded at Miami International due to the fact that this hotel I booked with through Priceline not answer the phone when I called to advise of my arrival time, and the time I needed the shuttle from the airport that this Hotel Chesterfield advertised that they had. I was traveling alone from California and arrived at 11PM in Florida ALONE with noone to pick me up from the airport and no where to stay and Priceline didn't care!!!!! After several calls to this Hotel Chesterfield and like 10, (literally) calls to Priceline, Ultimately at oh 3:00AM (after I got in at10:45PM) Priceline's determination of how to handle the problem was to put me on hold for over an hour until my cell phone died. This whole thing was over a course of approximately 6 hours because I started calling during my layover in Dallas, and NOONE helped me, only put me on hold, and kept transferring me to people who DON't SPEAK ENGLISH who I had to tell the WHOLE story to again, and noone EVER helped even though I was saying I was scared and had nowhere to go and I knew noone in Miami and all I was told was 'I apologize for the inconvenience ma'am." Inconvenience?? I was left stranded at Miami International all alone at 3AM!!!!, Priceline people only kept transferring me around and ultimately put me on hold to leave me there until my phone died. I was SO upset and crying in the terminal, some very nice porter came up to me and helped me get a cab and helped me find a decent hotel in the area because I had to catch a boat the next day at 8AM and I was just a hysterical and I couldn't even think straight. I have ALL the receipts from that too as well as the names of the nice people that helped me at Miami International, and the cab people that helped me too. The cab people even called the hotel they took me to in the morning to make sure I got a cab to take me to the Port the next morning, they were so kind, they made sure I was safe and going in the right direction on time so I didn't miss my boat. I don't even know if this Hotel Chesterfield exists, noone ever answered the phone there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If someone at Priceline doesn't make this right, I am going to the media with the whole story because I documented EVERYTHING including the calls I made and how long I was on the phone each call, and who I spoke to and when. I will also contact William Shatner, and yes I know people in the Industry who can get me in touch with him, to tell him what kind of shady merchant he is advertising for. I can bet he doesn't stay on as a Priceline spokesperson after he hears what happened to me. I travel ALOT, and this was my first time trying Priceline. What a total NIGHTMARE in so many ways.

You do understand the Priceline doesn't own the hotel right? I agree with the below, not sure what you expect from Priceline, the hotel was the one that didn't answer the phone.

How is this Priceline's fault? Sounds like an issue between you and the hotel.

Should have got a cab. If you can't afford a cab then you shouldn't be travelling cupcake.

Lowest price guarantee is a lie. | Priceline review from Fruitland Park, Florida

I booked a hotel through priceline, but when I checked in I found that I could have gotten the room for $10 less per night. I called customer service and they were no help, saying you only have 24 hours from the time I booked the room to claim the best price guarantee. Priceline Customer service was NOT service. They said there was nothing they could do. And if I did not want to use Priceline again they would respect my decision. I will not use priceline again. The Lowest Price guaranteed is a lie. This is totally false advertising.

Priceline SUCKS

Just booked a hotel for San Francisco, and got San Mateo...not the same city...so far away...no where close...try calling customer service and had to go through several countries who don't speak English...know nothing about where San Francisco is or San Mateo...calling to contest on my credit card in the morning...Will never use Priceline again...lost all trust in them, after using them for years, this was their biggest *** up! Good way to ruin a vacation...Book through Priceline...don't do it you'll be sorry. They don't care about, or do they have any customer service.

:( Here is what you typically get with PriceLine -- a room with the worst view possible, a handicapped room, a hotel that is under construction, at least a star below what you asked for... All in all, if you are not worried about comfort and just need cheap it is the way to go. If you are a business traveler or on vacation save yourself some grief and pay a little more at another booking site.

Priceline Poor Review

Don't recommend priceline for booking anything. I took a chance and gave them a try this past weekend. When we arrived at the hotel they gave us the off-season rate. I was pleased and thought priceline would adjust accordingly. Nope. I found that priceline charged my card more then the hotel cost/charge. I contacted priceline and no adjustment. They were at fault for charging a hotel price higher then the hotel actually charged. Customer service would not credit the difference back to card. They made money off the transaction. I lost out. They offered a deal if I booked in the future with them. Why would I do that - only to be ripped off again?! Don't go with them!! It's too bad they take advantage of the on-line services and I will contact the hotel directly next time. Old school! Don't go with priceline.

After hearing stories like this I have become convinced that Priceline is involved in fraud and deceit. Where is the Attorney General? Get these people to straighten out and everyone else - well, once bit twice shy

Never again for me Priceline
