This is the problem with booking a ticket with Priceline, Orbitz, Expedia, etc.----you pay these companies and then when you have a problem, you have already paid and are basically stuck. Their customer service is atrocious and only works to your disadvantage.

You are always best to book hotels, airlines, etc. direct with the provider---not an intermediary like Priceline.

Priceline - Awful Customer Service

I mistakenly purchased airline tickets through priceline's name your price service. I called within 12 hours of the tickets being purchased to inform them that it was unintentional. I did not mean to purchase the tickets. Needless to say, the customer service rep said it was nonrefundable. I asked to speak with someone else higher up. They said the same thing. The customer reps are very rude, unprofessional, and insensitive. So I requested to speak to someone else higher up, and they told me to write a letter. I requested an e-mail address. They directed me on the website to one. I filled out the form, and it comes back to me undeliverable! I will never, never go through Priceline again. They have poor customer service, and they don't even try to help the customer out.

You know it's not price line problem. Everytme I made a mistake I took it up with the I booked at and they changed dates very quickly

Doesn't sound like it was a mistake to me little girl. Sounds like you were playing around to see how low they would go and you went to far.

Or you did what I did one time and entered the incorrect return date. Do you know what I did? Bit the bullet.

Never even crossed my mind to call the company because I knew what "non-refundable" means. Read the small print next time instead of relying on the website to send a "are you sure you want to make this purchase" pop-up

Listen - It was a mistake...I thought it would give me a final confirmation prior to it being charged. I didn't realize it was just going to charge the amount. Priceline could work with people on a solution, but they don't care to.

Priceline

I booked a ticket from priceline for an international trip with multi-destinations. In the last minute, priceline called me and asked me to either change my schedule for two days or cancel my ticket since the carries will not operate at one day. I talked with Billy, a supervisor at priceline and he was very rude to me and cut off the phone. I told him that I have difficulties to change my schedule and he did not do anything to help me. I had booked many flights, hotels and cars from priceline and do not understand why priceline is so rude to customers. It looks like that priceline does not care about its customers.

Priceline - Have been screwed by pricelene

PRICELINE IS NOT WORTH A SINGE PENNY! HAVE BEEN MISLEAD ABOUT "THE CHEAPEST PRICE FOR YOUR CRITERIA IS $408 + TAX)".AFTER HAVING MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WITH $250-$300-$0350. AFTER ACCEPTING THE HOTEL, I FOUND OUT IT'S THE SHERATON. HAVE FOUND SEVERAL OTHER HOTELS IN SAME AREA WITH SAME STAR LEVEL, FOR MUCH CHEAPER! (BETWEEN $235-$300). HAVE CALLED THEM, NO ONE TO TALK TO. IF PROBLEM, THEY JUST HANG UP THE PHONE ON YOU. AT CHECK IN I FOUND OUT THAT FOR THAT PRICE I GET ONLY A NONE RENOVATED ROOM AND WITHOUT BREAKFAST! COULD STAY IN A LOT BETTER HOTELS FOR $500/NIGHT DON'T YOU THINK?

Priceline - Terrible Customer Service

I am very disappointed in priceline's service. We booked a 2 star hotel that priceline's website says was a good 2 star family hotel. But it has *** and drug dealers we tried to get a refund to leave the hotel but customer service says there was nothing they could do and we could not get our money back. They told us we had to stay the whole week and too bad for us! That's the last time we go with them! Thankfully the hotel managers realised that customers should be treated with kindness and respect and changed our room for us. It still wasn't what we would have liked, but what else can we do?

Priceline customer service offered little help

I accidentally booked a name your price deal and immediately upon realizing this I called customer service to see if I could cancel the reservation. They said nothing could be done even though I immediately called. I even spoke with a supervisor and explained the situation. All the supervisor provided me with was a mailing address to which I could send a complaint. I even asked what would happen if I stopped payment on my credit card and she said I would be forced to pay either way. To make matters even worse the hotel they claim to 3.5 stars doesn't even come close. I have stayed there before and there rooms are insultingly small. Overall I am very disappointed in my experience and will never use priceline again and I urge everyone else to do the same. Priceline definitely needs to realize that they care in a consumer driven market and with practices like this their business may begin to suffer. You can book the same deals on other discount websites and there customer service is actually there to help you.

Worthless Priceline Insurance

I purchased the optional $5 insurance for my hotel through piceline, and ended up getting the stomach flu and not being able to go. Thinking my insurance would cover it since it's MEDCIAL I didnt think twice about it. HOWEVER since I didnt get treated by a doctor, they denied my claim. Awesome. WORTHLESS INSURANCE! Unless you have a major illness, this is complete ***. I can't believe that with a stomach flu, I had to go to a doctor, which would of cost me $40, and I would of been out that money anyways. Such ***. DON'T BUY IT!!! total scam.

People lie all the time. Jobs require doctors notes.

Schools require doctors notes. Why wouldn't an airline if you are requesting your money back.

Next time, GO TO THE DOCTOR. Otherwise, you have no one to be pissed at but yourself!

WTF, my Aunt is getting sick in the bathroom right now. Very clearly ill.

She is lucky to have bought the Priceline insurance for her flight, Right? NOT, totally useless! Misleading, one operator to another. I've had issues with this co.

before but it was settled out of court.

Now it's happening again. My family of 25+ are done with them.

Hotel prices cheaper than going through priceline

I booked a room through www.Priceline.com and clicked on the NAME YOUR PRICE to supposedly get the cheapest rate available. 2 days later I recieved an email special from the hotel Monte Carlo Resort in Las Vegas. It was $100.00 cheaper to book directly with the hotel. When I called priceline on 11/9/2011 they repeated told me "I'm sorry there is nothing we can do." SOOO, long story short, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! They would not refund the difference. I even asked if they would like me to send them the email I received from the resort and they didn't want to see it. I will never use them again.

yup, eventually Priceline WILL go out of business because it seems the majority of people that use them once will not use them again. Most people don't realize till they check out of the hotel and see their receipt which is LESS MONEY than what they paid priceline.

Lesson learned for me. Never again..

I purchased two rooms through Priceline for $200 for each room. I thought the name your price would give you "the best deal" but that is not the case.

The room could have been booked through Expedia for $111 each. Priceline doesn't care as long as their making money.....

Beware of Priceline....

I booked a room in Corpus on 11.4/2011 Price-line charged me $121.68. I was given a receipt from hotel for $94.92 which is the winter special for this hotel. When I called Price line they told me that is their wholesale amount at which they pay for the room. So beware before you buy from price line...As they are over charging. They tried to send me a $10 bonus money to use for my next purchase. Why would they even think. I would want to buy anything from them again. Be ware don't use priceline.

Priceline - Just beware

I'm sharing this to inform new Priceline users. First, the cheap airfare comes with a cost and that is where you are placed in the airplane. I just returned from a trip which I booked through Priceline and all my seats while on the aisle as I requested, were in rows 30 and beyond. One was in the very back of the plain, so just keep in mind you are trading convenience for cost. The other issue involves my car rental. Apparently Priceline doesn't use accurate pictures for the size vehicle you may want to rent, because the vehicle I thought I was going to get wasn't even offered by the company I rented from. Finally, also about the car rental, the daily rate quoted was excellent, $15 per day for a standard size vehicle. As it turned out I turned the vehicle in a few hours earlier than expected and the results my excellent rate was doubled. That wasn't the fault of Priceline, it was the result of a change in my schedule. My point is that since it was pre-paid there was no price adjustment, which is something to keep in mind when using one these third party providers. So ultimately your costs could end up higher in the long run.
