I am currently staying at a hotel. I want to extend my stay by one night. I went to priceline where I originally booked the stay. It said add a night. I clicked that. It then said that that price was no longer available, but I could the additional night for a...

Tell me I'd need to pay $$ to fix a typo. Not without shelling out an additional $60 to do it | Priceline review from Boston, Massachusetts

I bought airline tickets on Priceline.com from Boston to Miami and noticed as soon as I hit send, a typo in my name. I couldn't go back to the previous screen to correct it and started contacting customer service which as you know is practically non existent. Numerous attempts at having a customer service experience that in any way was satisfactory to the customer has simply not happened. The last call was the last straw. A fee to reissue a ticket -- no change in reservation, simply adding an "a" in my last name. I'm tweeting my disgust.

How is this a Priceline problem? You obviously could take your time to review your order before you got click happy.

Your mistake, own it. Did Priceline misspell your name?

You made the mistake. They were nice enough to fix it for you for a fee.

They could have denied you any help in changing the ticket name. This was your fault.

Priceline Failed to Honor Hotel Commitment

I booked a hotel room in Houston for a business meeting. Priceline emailed me at 8:16 p.m. and called me around that same time to tell me there was a "problem". When I called their 800 number, I was on hold for 27 minutes before I hung up. I called the hotel where I had a reservation and they told me that they did not have a room for me and it was "between you and Priceline". The hotel gave me a different 800 number, which I called and got an answer. The Priceline person told me that I did not have a hotel room and they were "sorry". They refused to get me a room anywhere in downtown Houston for the price we had agreed on, and I ended up driving around and calling hotels until past midnight and had to drive out past Loop 8 in Houston to find a hotel on my own. Priceline sucks. They do not honor their commitments and I will never do business with them again.

Don't ever use Priceline!

This is the second and last time that we used Priceline to book a vacation. Both times we have been royally screwed over. Most recently we booked a trip and 3 days later they changed our flight to a different time that was less convenient and also less money. They refused to give us the difference back on the flights and tried to claim that our original flight never existed so that's why it was changed. If it never existed why make it as an option on your website?!? They keep saying there is nothing they can do about it except charge us more money to make any changes. They also don't let you make any requests with your hotels. We tried to request a nonsmoking room but they won't do it even though the hotel says that we have to go through Priceline. The whole experience has been an unending nightmare dealing with them. I will never use them again and recommend that others save themselves a hassle and not use them either.

Refused to honor big deal guarantee at priceline.com

I have made a booking via name your own price on Priceline. The price I bid was $95 for a 3 star hotel in Miami, when I received the email with the hotel I checked the average rate at the hotel was $91.23 at their website and submitted the claim. They said that would not refund because of the taxes values being different from the hotel website to Priceline. I loooked at the big deal guarantee terms and per the terms the taxes and fees are not considered when requesting the claim. So I wrote again, this time to receive a message that no matter what, my booking was non cancellable and non refundable, and no mention of the big deal guarantee.

I booked a room with Priceilne in Boston. The hotel forgot my priceline reservation and charged me their actual rate, which was $100 lower than priceline.

I called priceline because they charge me to and priceline refused to honor the lower rate... All i kept being told was too bad.

Rip off, rude, unprofessional | Priceline review from New Orleans, Louisiana

I thought when I booked a rental car then it will be there even though I was late; however, this wasn't the case with Priceline because when I came by to get the car I was told that my reservation had been cancelled due to my lateness. I don't know how many times I was late in the past due to delayed, cancelled flights but I still have my rental car ready for me. Priceline, on the other hand, cancelled my reservation but still charged me for the whole amount. I called Priceline and told them I didn't cancel it but it got me nowhere because the lady was extremely rude and unprofessional . She said since I wasn't on time to pick up my car it's automatically cancelled and if I want to then she can make me another reservation but the price is going to be double from my previous one. I told her that it wasn't my fault that I was late and also since they already charged me for the whole amount then why wouldn't they let me have the car?. I supposed to pick up the car at 11:00 pm but I came by 10:00 the following morning and found out that my reservation is no longer existed . I tried to explain to her but she hang up on me and I gave up after several tries. No matter whom I spoke to they all said the same" the reservation had been cancelled and there was nothing they can do unless I'm willing to make another reservation with higher price". I don't know who handles the customer services but I had a very difficult time trying to communicate with them . I even tried to email Priceline about this situation but no one reply. Is this a rip off or what???. I strongly advise everyone to beware of this company and don't even think of booking anything from them because they will find a way to cheat you off no matter what. I do hope someone would investigated Priceline because after that horrible incidence I believe this is a scam and they shouldn't still be in business to rip off other customers.

I am also having trouble with priceline car rental. I called alamo and they said there is a 24 hour grace period to pick up the car, so check into that and see if it helps.

Sometimes i get good deals with rentalcars.com and carrentals.com so try that also. I am disputing charges with my credit card, so consider you might want to call your credit card company and have then delete the charges because there is a 24 hour notice and they are supposed to help with late arrivals that are no fault of your own.

Priceline.com Misleading website, horrible customer service, ripoff ... don't use

priceline has the most misleading website, and customer service is a horror. Do not use this company. Their website showed hotels in Burlington VT, and clearly differentiates this city as separate from South Burlington Vermont, a different town outside of Burlingtion. Their own website shows only 2 hotels in Burlinton center, based on their own map. Upon booking via "name your price, I was given a hotel in S. Burlington, 3 miles outside the city. Complaining is futile. You get customer service which gives you robotic responses, and then offers to cancel but charges you a steep penalty -- when it is their own website that is misleading. I wouldn't ever use them again. Horrible.

So when your order fails at Priceline they are authorizing the amount for each attempt. I just found out that the 3 times I tried to order a hotel room racked up over $1200.00 in authorizations on my credit card and now I'm on hold because none of their customer...

Hi Eric, I had a similar experience with priceline. I made my original booking to find out that the the request failed.

I was told by priceline that it was because I added a rental car to my package and sometimes that messes their system up. So I booked again, without the rental car and it still didn't go through. This time priceline blamed the hotel I chose, saying that the hotel still had rooms listed, but there weren't any rooms available. So, try number 3, I changed hotels and submitted the package to have it fail again.

Priceline's reason this time - the airline had seats listed when there really weren't any seats available!!! Unbelievable!! And guess what, each attempted booking put a hold on my bank account for the price of the package! - Even more unbelievable!!!

And to try to get it resolved quickly through priceline - what a joke. I'm not even sure how this company stays in business.

I've written priceline an email detailing my situation 2 days ago and haven't heard anything in response. DON'T USE PRICELINE, UNLESS YOU HAVE LOTS OF MONEY IN YOUR ACCOUNT TO BE PUT ON HOLD!!

Priceline - AVOID -nontransferable rentals!

Beware of car rentals with Priceline, as they do not follow standard industry practice for allowing advance changes or cancellations. When the dates of our trip changed, I contacted Priceline 9 weeks in advance of the rental to adjust to the new dates which were one month later than the original (13 weeks advance). They were absolutely unmoving: NO transfer of reservation was considered or allowed. They billed my credit card for the full amount of the original reservation, despite the fact that it won't be used, and refused to refund, despite my request provided months in advance. What a rip off.

Did not honor the vouchers for airport transfer it sold to us | Priceline review from Tampa, Florida

We purchased online vouchers from priceline along with airline tickets. When we arrived at the airport the company they identified as their limo. service refused to honor the vouchers. When we called Priceline, they also refused to refund the money. We had to pay twice for transfer from JFK to NYC where we were attending a wedding. We called, wrote online twice to PRiceline. The clerk whom we reached by phone explained that Priceline simply does not provide refunds under any circumstances, and our online messages were ignored completely. This company is a scam and we do not recommend anyone investing any funds in their products as they do not stand behind them- delivered or not.
