False Advertising | Priceline review from Thomasville, Georgia
The hotel was nice; however Pricelines website was incorrect when referencing hotel amenities. We booked this hotel as it stated on Priceline that the hotel had a seasonal heated pool and free breakfast. After booking the room with Priceline and checking in at the front desk we learned that the pool was not heated and was actually closed for the season and there was not a Continental Breakfast as well. I spoke with Priceline's customer service and they were very unaccommodating. They never once admitted their mistake and told me that I should have personally called and checked with the hotel concerning their amenities before booking. I feel that it is not my job to do this when Priceline is the one advertising the hotel. They did not do their job by checking with the hotel before listing this information on their website. As of today, this information is still incorrect and is currently showing on Priceline's website as shown below. This is completely flase advertisement!!!!! I had two little girls that were very upset about the pool and had I known, I would have used another hotel. The information listed on their website was and still is completely false and we will never use Priceline again and will never refer their service to anyone. All suites provide living and sleeping spaces with French doors to separate them. They feature a mini-fridge and microwave, pillowtop mattress, a wet bar, two flat-panel TVs with premium cable stations and plenty of nice touches such as plush robes and a newspaper delivered each morning. Wi-Fi and wired internet access are available for a fee. Bathrooms are large, with backlit mirrors, granite countertops and high-end toiletries. Outside, lush landscaping and a gentle waterfall surround the heated seasonal pool and sun patio. The outdoor seating area is a favorite place to sip a cocktail while you meet and mingle with other guests after a meal at the on-site Italian-themed restaurant. The business center is open 24 hours, and the 24/7 fitness center has all the equipment you need to stay in shape. Self-parking is free; valet parking is also available. Pets are allowed with some restrictions. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to locations within five miles.
False advertising | Priceline review from Conway, South Carolina
Bought insurance for hotel. Priceline would not help with usage. Tried to change but only offer was a ten dollar coupon which only works on 3plus bids of which there are none where we want to book. When you complain get a canned email which is of no use. Do not use Priceline for any bidding. Simply no help and their insurance does not work. Hotel booked for wrong date but insurance will not pay and absolutely no help from Priceline. Would recommend Expedia for less money. You cannot reach a live person at p line. Nothing to do but lose your money
Priceline's search program can change your departure city w/out telling you-huge fee to correct prob
DON'T USE PRICELINE!!! THEY HAVE A GLITCH IN THEIR PROGRAM THAT CAN MAKE A SUDDEN CHANGE TO YOUR DEPARTURE CITY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEARCH AND IF YOU DON'T CATCH IT IN THE CONTRACT, THEY WILL NOT BUDGE AN INCH WHEN YOU TRY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEY ALSO CHARGE HUGE CANCELATION FEES IF THEY LET YOU CANCEL AT ALL! I have just read similar stories on other review sites complaining about Priceline. Orbitz gives much better customer service. My husband had a problem with a booking and they gave him a refund and then fixed the problem when he rebooked. Priceline must make much of their money on unjustified cancelation fees.
BEWARE: Priceline website is deliberately deceptive
None of the pages in theri checkout process indicate if you are booking a "name your own price" deal, their trademark 'bargaining' platform. I completed the entire checkout thinking I would be choosing flights only to receive a purchase confirmation that had flights I did not want. Priceline does not disclose flight terms until after purchase was made ($2150 non-refundable, even after buying trip protection). Their 'customer service' poeple are uninformed low wage workers that simply quote their booking policies ad-nauseum. Unlike every other booking agent, Priceline will not honor any dispute. I have had similar problems with other agencies (Orbitz, American Airlines) but they were happy to simply delete the original reservation and make the correction. if I called within the hour of making the reservation. Priceline would not accomodate me even though the product had not even been delivered yet. I got stuck with a vacation package I did not want. The wrong times cut my vacation short by two days.

I bought airline ticket. They sent a ticket to me by FedEx/UPS and the package returned after few days, because away. Now, they don't want to send me the ticket back to me, unless I pay a shipping fee? about $35.00. Their customer service is so poor, that they will be out of business soon, because they don't know how to take care of their customers. They transfered me from one department to another and back to them, back again to another department, and didn't accomplish anything the whole day. Very poor customer care. Don't do business with them. You think you are saving money, but instead you are spending tons of your precious time.
Priceline booked wrong and wont correct
I did my first "name your price" and they booked it COMPLETELY opposite of the area I selected, I am now 20 miles away from where I asked them to be. Thank goodness it wasnt in another state or country. This was the worst customer service, they insisted that I chose the area because that what printed on the email...uh no, thats why Im calling you... because I did NOT select that area. So I am now out hundreds because they did not honor my area request. I was so excited... now Im so disappointed....and am out the 2 night booking in cost. What a rip off. I am only glad it was booked in the same state.
Priceline is a bait and switch rip off
Booked a nice condo in park city Utah 1bed 1bath Fire place garage nice pics on line. Got dirty dorm room that was outdated in 1980 6 mi from the address on my reservation. I'm told the condo I booked is not one of theirs. I can cancel & pay fee. Or pay double the price for something camparable to what I booked on line. 3 hours on the phone with priceline and nothing we can do but pay more. This was not even a name your price. Something's not right at Priceline and resortquest What a rip off
I booked a hotel through priceline.com as soon as I received the email realized it was not what I had booked. I called them at their Priceline Customer Service Number: 1-800-657-9168 to let them know it was a mistake and they would not help me. I can't believe that...
PRICELINE Disney Disaster
Booked room at Disney.Priceline only guarantees double occupancy.Thats means a a couple with 2 kids could arrive and would only be allowed 2 people to the room they selected . kids will be on the lawn folks.The hotel has no idea you are coming with 4 persons or 10. Priceline does not care and they do not care to ask.They have their money and if you are in a mess oh well.LUCKY that Disney at their end insured my stay would accommodate 4.Disney knows how to run the show and should not allow Priceline to book their rooms.Mickey dump the fools! .
Displeased with Priceline
I made a reservation with Priceline for a hotel and accepted their negotiated price, but with travel insurance. As it happened, the trip had to be canceled. Despite the purchase of insurance, Priceline refuse to refund anything. They cite as their defense a technicality that a business conflict is not insurable (I might have known that if I read theer entire terms and conditions before agreeing, but that seems a little harsh). Even so, I tried to call the hotel after discussing the matter with Priceline. The hotel is willing to accept the cancellation and forego their fee. The hotel manager suggested that Priceline contact him. Even so, Priceline refuses to contact the hotel or refund anything. When I ask the Priceline representative if he would, himself, be satisfied with such service he refuses to answer my question. Basically, after this experience I cannot recommend and will not again use Priceline.
