Priceline

I was making my hotel reservation for 5 nights through priceline 2/28/10 going to washington convention center in DC. I choose the hotels near the convention center but they give me hotel that is far from the place I was trying to change it but they said its all final and I cannot change or cancel it even if I will add money to it. It was so dissappointing. So please don't use priceline when you make your hotel reservations for the fact that you cannot change your reservation and you are not certain which hotel they are going to put you in if its near your destination I mean don't be like me. I am very pissed with mine. Their reasoning is that it is within the shaded area of the map, well their shaded area is 10 miles radius by the way.So please think it over when make your next reservation to them. Thank you.

Don't trust any company that requires you to give them credit card information prior to confirming your final trip/ purchase itinerary. I have used other travel sites .

Something about having to give up cc info without even knowing where I'd be staying or detailed info about my hotel, flight, etc didn't sit well with me!

I hate when customers who support these type of sites are treated like ***. They need to go out of business!~

Am I the only one this has happened to? I purchased a ticket and priceline.com got my last name wrong & refused to change it. Cost me an extra 750.00 for a new ticket with the right name. Airline cancelled my tickets and resold the seats. Not fair!! I have filed a report with the better business bureau but I'm sure nothing with become of it. If you're a woman check your itinerary as soon as you get it. I've heard priceline.com has a class action law suit against them for this kind of behavior. Haven't been able to find any info about that though.

Priceline - No compassion for the DEAD

My stepfather passed away on 2/21/2010 the funeral was originally going to be on 2/27/2010. But because we have family all over the date was pushed back to allow people to get in town to attend the services. I changed my leave time at work tried to change my flight with priceline and guess what because of contractual obligations they would not change my flight to Friday two days later of course there would be no refund and that I would just loose my money. WOW! I will never do business with them again in this life. This is the truth so please beaware of what you are doing before you buy a ticket with them. No compassion what so ever.

Priceline

I booked a hotel through priceline wrote down my conformation number. Since I did not received a email conformation I went to the hotel website and to retrieve one well to my surprise the price on it was cheaper than the one priceline gave me. I called and was told that there was a 24 hr best price. I was not asking for the best price I just wanted what was a fair price. They told me that the request number was the the number that i needed to use. But to me that was just a request not the conformation. I have read over the term and I did not find anywhere there was 24 hours. When I emailed a complaint to the company they was nice enough to give me 10.00 dollars off my next booking with them for 5 nights max. I wish I would have checked them out first.

Priceline....complete disappointment

In January 2010 we booked a hotel through Priceline.com and we've been disppointed start to finish with the transaction. First, I requested a 3 1/2 star hotel (bid $75.00)and after reading some of the less than stellar customer reviews online pertaining to the hotel Priceline assigned us, I began to wonder who determines the 3 1/2 star rating. A few days before our scheduled hotel check-in my husband became sick. The reservation had been made for a hotel in Philadelphia so we could visit a medical specialist who practices there. I rescheduled the appointment with the doctor and called the hotel. The front desk manager told me it was no problem to change the date of our stay, but to call Priceline as well. Oh, brother was that an eye opening experience. Priceline wanted to charge us an additional $25.00 to change the date of our reservation (same hotel that was originally booked) and now for the real zinger....they wanted a note from the doctor in Philadelphia verifying the appointment. How ridiculous is that??? My husband and I put $98.00 on our credit card to stay at this hotel.... and due to illness we weren't able to keep the Priceline reservation and we weren't permitted to change the date. That $98.00 includes the $75.00 bid and the other $23.00 in taxes and fees. We might as well have flushed that money down the toilet. We'll be coming to Philadelphia to visit the medical specialist in a few weeks but you can be *** sure we won't be dealing with Priceline. I'll never look at William Shatner the same way again.

This was my first and last experience with Priceline. From now on I'm sticking to the lodging discount I get from my Pennsylvania AAA travel membership.

As far as Priceline is concerned I'm chalking this up to a $100.learning experience. Live and learn.

Even if you get the insurance through Priceline to cover that, its no guarantee they will help you. There is so much vague wording and sneeky information as far as the insurance, that they will find ways to either make you pay more money, or not refund your money.

If you are reading this, NEVER book anything through Priceline. I had to learn the hard way.

You can't be serious.

I can understand an employer wanting a doctor's note from an employee that has missed several days of work....but a business that books travel accomodations and one I now consider to be a sublevel operation isn't entitled to anything medical, even a form filled out.

All we wanted to do was change the date (at the same hotel) and make the reservation two weeks later than it was originally booked. This shouldn't have been such an ordeal especially since the hotel had no problem with changing the date.

#107237

Why didn't you just get them a copy of the DR note like they asked so they could justify the date change?

Pricelinemade reservation for wrong bed size

Made reservation with Priceline for King sized bed. Got to the hotel and got a 2 double beds. Called Priceline after the Hotel said they could not help due to the huge number of problems they have with Priceline. Priceline lied numerous times of the phone...in the end the Priceline supervisor spoke on my cell (in front of me) to desk clerk. Supervisor then tells me, sorry hotel does not have any King sized beds. Asked the clerk, clerk says they have plenty of king sized beds. Supervisor said, sorry, but he was not going to make the change. Long story short...liars and scammers. Bad customer service. Buyer beware!!

Priceline - Thieves & Liars Fu&k William shatner

So where to begin.... First of all we booked our tickets they took our money and sent our conformation email and we thought great all done... Well my gf then decided to check the day before our seats were together. She finds out that united has never even heard of me. So we find out even though they took our money they forgot that whole get me on the flight part. Hmmm seems like kind of a big step to miss. We call and they couldn't have been worse on the phone. I wish Scotty was there to beam me up to that call center to put a foot in someones area. They offered to fly me out on alternative date fr FREE. Wow so you mean after you messed up my whole ticket you'll fix it for free how amazing!!!! I talked to a supervisor and apparently I got all the way to the CEO cause he said he was the highest person there. What an embarrasssment not only themselves but the human race in general. They then wanted to fix the ticket by charging us an additional 2000 dollars with no authoraztion or anything. So I'm now 2980 in the hole for a roundtrip ticket from San Francisco to boston.... I beg anyone considering using Priceline to run and run fast. I'd like to point out that we found out how amazing united has been. They fixed everything asap. I wouldn't spit on Priceline if they were on fire...

To all customers and potential customers... DO NOT USE PRICELINE under any circumstances, you will eventually be ripped off.

Everyone who has had a bad experience with PRICELINE add a signature line to all emails you send so that your Friends, Family, and Colleagues may be effectively warned of the risk and hazards of using PRICELINE.

Priceline charged $1,164.14 more for booking hotel rooms through them

I used Priceline to book an airfare and hotel package (eight months in advance). Upon check in on 12/23/09, I was informed that the same two rooms for the same time period would have cost me $172 each per night versus the $255 each per night that I was charged through Priceline, for a total of $1,164.14 LESS if I had booked directly with the Hilton Rose Hall Resort versus using Priceline. Five attempts to contact Priceline to recoup this money were totally ignored. Their supposed "best price guarantee" is only good for 24 hours, what a joke! Spread the word- SAVE YOURSELF FRUSTRATION AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, BY NOT USING PRICELINE!

Priceline - They will charge your card regardless of whether you agree to the transaction

i needed to rent a car for a few weeks. i went on the "Priceline Negotiator" section of the website. I made an offer. (you need to give them your credit card info before they will consider your offer). the offer i made them was rejected. i made another offer. it too was rejected. i then moved over and used Hotwire and booked a car without any trouble. Lo and behold, Priceline bills my card for the offer i made them that THEY rejected. My credit card company is battling it out with them now, but who needs the hassle. It goes without saying that i will NEVER go on their website again.

Priceline is just terrible!!

I will never buy from, Priceline.com again. I swear lets all just keep to travel agents. They still care about what they sell, and it is really less expensive. Buy the time you get what you want online, the price changes, or oops need to start over again. Priceline is just terrrible, for the second time, they screwed up my travel details. I am soooooo upset. Please don't buy from them. Take your business elswhere. Travelocity, or Orbitz work better. Stay away from PRICELINE Please......give your money to better companies, we as consumers deserve better choices, and we do have them, lets just use them...

booked trip to vegas, booked an am flight out of DFW but when I recieved the itenerary we were booked on a pm flight. In a nutshell we loose a whole day of vacation, after the lengthy automated phone *** I finally get someone to try and fix this and they do nothing to try and change the flight to an am flight. Then tell me that the insurance that I bought was not affiliated with them and I would have to contact the insurance agency myself. Well, a claim has to be filed within 30 days of the flight. To change flights from pm to am it was going to cost me 476.00 per person x3!!! This should be against the law!!! I will NEVER EVER book anything with priceline and will tell everyone I every talk to about travel plans to STAY AWAY from priceline, I have owned my own business and word of mouth can be your best advertising or your worst thanks to the teh world wide web...... word of mouth just travels that much faster!!!! I hope priceline goes down like a snowball headed for ***!!!!

I too have been a victim of the infamous Cpt Kirk! I bought the insurance for protection and now I have to try and track down the insurance company and haggle with them to get my money back.

Please, I hope miracles still are out there!

Oh, yes, there was a huge price drop on my flight and I called and wanted an adjustment to my ticket -- no way - the price drop has to take place within the first 24 hours of purchase.

Never will I use priceline again

Maybe you've got a point "CHEAP FLIGHT I BET," but as a former business owner I decided I would run my business with integrity, unlike Priceline. Priceline has ripped off many people to pay Captain Kirk's fees for those adorable commercials.

I am one of the unfortunates. I purchased plane tickets to go to my nephews funeral, but became ill—so sick I was unable to even get into my wheelchair. When I requested a refund they gave me the runaround. I had to submit a "note" from my doctor.

They said it was inadequate and sent a form that my doctor had to comeplete. Still, they refused. I asked could I used the tickets later, to visit his grave. They refused.

I think it was a bit harsh and heartless. I am proud that I ran my business with my customers coming first. I valued and appreciated customers because I wanted them to return. I no longer have the business, because of this illness, but former customers still contact me and ask if I can assist them.

I never heard of any of my clients giving me a bad review—most of my customers came from referrals by clients. Priceline gets dissatisfied customers reviews on sites like this.

Priceline - Changing vehicle reservation

I went through priceline.com to reserve a minivan for our family vacation to OBX. However, upon agreeing to the price of $35 per day - I noticed the picture of a CAR, not a minivan, despite specifiying this early on in the reservation process! I contacted the rental company who told me they couldn't do anything ... and then attempted to contact priceline via the phone number they gave. Nothing, couldn't get a live person! So, I sent an email, to which they did respond & basically told me too bad. I actually had to go back into the reservation & pay an additional $27/day to rent the minivan! So now I'm paying $62 a day for a minivan that I could've rented for $50 anywhere else. They gave me no explination, I sent a screen print of the information as I entered it stating I was reserving a MINIVAN - just told me too bad & "DON'T CONTACT THEM ANYMORE"!!!

Priceline steals hotel voucher

I booked a cruise through Priceline.com and one of the bonuses I received was a voucher for a 2 night hotel stay through their \"name your own price\" process. I received the voucher and went through the \"name your own price\" process for a hotel room in NYC. I chose only 4 and 3 1/2 star hotels knowing I would not be able to pick the specific hotel, but wanting to make sure it was decent. I also included trip insurance at an additional cost in case an emergency came up and I needed to cancel my trip (I have a child with chronic health conditions so that could be a possibility). My price was accepted by a hotel and after learning what hotel it was I proceeded to go to the hotel\'s website---Affinia Manhattan. Immediately, I learned that the hotel allowed pets in the hotel rooms and main lobby areas. I am highly allergic to cats and knew I would not be able to stay at that hotel. I called Priceline\'s customer service immediately. They told me to call back in the morning because they would have to contact the hotel\'s reservation department which had already closed. I did call back the next morning and spoke with a customer service representative who told me they would refund all of the money that had been charged to my credit card for the total hotel stay (which was for 3 nights) minus the trip insurance and minus $75 until I provided them with a letter from my doctor stating I had a severe cat allergy and would not be able to stay at that hotel. I did get the letter from my doctor and faxed it to priceline that same day. When I asked them about getting the bonus voucher back to use again (for my husband who has no allergies), they told me \"it had already been used and would not be sent again\". This is the point where I became upset with them. The voucher had not been used and was worth at least $150. No one stayed in NYC. The reservation had been cancelled immediately. I have a medical condition which didn\'t allow me to stay at that hotel and I had trip insurance which gave me the right to cancel the reservation as well. I felt like they were stealing money from me. I also didn\'t agree with them not refunding the trip insurance, but at least I could live with that. I asked to speak to a manager of customer service and was told no one would speak on the phone and I should instead write the VP of Customer Affairs online. I did write her and was hoping someone in that capacity would be much more understanding that they were in the wrong here. But to my surprise and disappointment, they gave me the run around-- told me that the voucher link could only be used one time (I asked them to send a new link or something comparable even-- if they couldn\'t send another voucher), they told me that had been generous in allowing me to cancel -- that\'s not true-- I had trip insurance, a note from a doctor, and nowhere on their website does it say that you may be given a hotel that allows pets - -especially a 4 or 3 1/2 star hotel- or I never would have booked through them in the first place. I told them that this was unacceptable. The voucher was rightfully mine and they should not be taking it away from me. They basically told me that they would not reinstate the voucher and to expect no further response from them regarding this matter. Unbelievable. I have read online other people complaining that their customer service borders on criminal and in this case, they are truly stealing from me.

Priceline is the biggest ripoff! they are stealing from people and getting away with it.

in the age of technology u must hand write a letter to the corporate office and hold ur breath for a response . if ur card was stolen and a ticket was purchased they dont ask for anykind of security questions. they take ur cash and tell u sorry about ur luck.

BEST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!!.... yeah right.
